Removing Specific Adsense Ads

When you guys put adsense onto a site about a specific niche, do you actively remove ads that aren't related to the niche or do you just let adsense display whatever they want?

One of my sites show anything depending on what the browser has been looking at previously. Is it worth removing these and how do I do it?

Blocking non-relative advertisers will higher your CTR rate, so I advice to do that, it is done in your adsense account.
    Good luck!

You need to be aware that google shows ads related to the person.
You can't block this completely. What you see may not be the same
as someone else. You should log out first before looking at ads to block.

You will be blocking high paying ads as well. So remember that.

If it is a new site, I would not block anything for at least two weeks.
It takes google a while to optimize the ads.

You can use the new interface to block ad categories and sub categories.

But again, I would wait on this. You don't really know what kinds of ads
your visitors like. You need to get some CTR stats for a couple of weeks.

If you block too many, you will get blank space. Better to show an ad
      than blank space.

You can turn off interest based Ads in the Adsense Admin (old Admin. / path):

My Account --> Interest-based Ads Preference --> Do not show ads based...

But it does not turn off completely ads geared for a person logged in, or
their geo-location. I do have it turned off and have had a slightly better
CTR. But not sure if that's due to me getting better ads and visitors all
      by myself.

So if you are in Los Angeles and see an ad for an LA based company, then
block it, it's kind of a moot point. You probably won't be able to block
the ads New Yorkers see unless you are in NY.

Seems like quite a decision. You can either:

    1. Work towards having ads that are only relevant to your niche

    or

    2. Have ads that are targeted toward your visitors searches
