Hello,

It is quite confusing! I am running high CPC keyword blog "auto insurance" everything is auto insurance... But per click I am getting 0.95 or 0.89. However, adwords show even 55$ cpc or on some keywords even more. Why is that? Any suggestions

Probably those ads are not targeted to your keyword ads.

Even though adwords can show how much the value is, it is the price for advertiser, not publisher. Google will take part of the click's commission. As a result, you won't be getting the amount shown on Google Adwords.

Why google adsense is showing ads which are irrelevant to my keyword ?
Can i manage this and only show relevant ads ?

You are assuming what many people assume. That if you create a site
with a so-called "high" CPC, you will get it. That's is pure fantasy.

Let's take that $55 click. That's for search. The content network is probably
no more than $20 tops. But that's for old, authoritative, established sites who
have proven to be winners with traffic. For new sites, no track record, you get
the leftovers. Probably topping out at those who are bid $5 or below. Even
they might not be bidding on your site. And that would be the highest. Chances
are, people are bidding $2 or less. 68% of that is what you are getting.

So the $55 CPC dream causes people to accuse google of ripping them off.

You have to build a good rep. You get that by the people who click and
take action. Not just mindless clickers. Over time, if you improve, the CPC
will go up. But it will never reach $55.

Less than a buck a click is average for most people.

Your site gets a QS just like adwords users. You can go up, but you
can also be smart priced. Google wants adwords users to get a good ROI.

Sometimes the adword will show as high as $89 (in my case) and still the click rate on some links will be just $1 or sometimes even as high as $2. I think this has more to do with the geographical location of the ad viewer. The clicks that come from US are often the highest and followed by Canada and rest follows. UK traffic is not that great in AdSense/AdWord.

It depends on the location and keywords.

As per my knowledge location and time on the advertiser's site will play important role in this matter. I am from India if I got any click from US average click cost is 60 cents where as in India average click cost is 5 cents.

From where you are getting traffic? If your traffic is coming through such keywords which have very low Avg. CPC then you will get low rated ads. And if your traffic is not from European countries, then ads will be low rated.

Thank you everyone for clarifying! As Paul mentioned, making my website authoritative will help to get more higher clicks. Good thing is that I am getting good response from this website and it is broad niche.
