shared of private proxies

Hi there, new to the forum here and was have always wanted to find out what are the difference in private proxies and shared proxies.

can anyone list the differences besides the price? i'm a scrapebox user and have heard a lot of people saying to use private proxies only for posting and shared proxies for harvesting. thanks guys!

    Private mean you are the only person using those IP addresses, these are generally better but you need lots of them if you want ot use them for scraping, not so many if you want to use them for posting or something.

    Shared means more people will be using them.

    I have used both, and Im currently paying $25/month for 30 shared proxies that are shared between me and 2 other people.

    These are working best for me out of all of the proxies I've ever used so far... Perhaps the people I am sharing with are not using them very much, but they seem to be better than the private ones I was using before.

    There should only be a few people using a shared proxy. With a private proxy, it's just you. Shared proxies are usually much cheaper.

      Private proxies are just for your use.
      Shared proxies are also used by other people.
      That's cheaper to use shared ones.

        Private proxies are also faster than shared proxies....that means that you can do your job (scraping,posting) faster

          Yes...squidproxies is very reliable i use them myself...

          You can also check out limeproxies and packetflip - i have used these myself as well with no problems.

          Another thing you need to consider, is that when using shared proxies, if the other people using the proxies as well are doing the same thing you are doing then your success rate is going to be MUCH lower...especially with posting using scrapebox...or senukeX or similar - this is because the sites ban the ip address sooner...

    You are senior to me on this forum since this is my first post. Something to keep in mind with Scrapebox is perhaps which private proxy service not to use - if you happen to go outside of the U.S. to conduct your IM business. YourPrivateProxy, (YPP) experiences some delay on a non English OS, for some reason. Also, have a look at the small print on the ProxyBonanza site. You will get a clear picture on their view of Scrapebox. Seems there are favorable comments in this forum regarding private proxies from Squid Proxies. Congratulations on doing your homework before plunking down your cash for one of the above mentioned outfits.
