I agree with ~kev~ that we need something to gauge your question on. But in an over all look at things, yes SEO software makes things a lot easier (less grunt work) most of the time. But is it worth the cost they are asking...well that is where we need to know what software.

I don't recommend ANY SEO software because most of the SEO software leads you to banned your site. That's why I do and recommend the link building process has to be done manually. Actually there is a SECRET strategy to get high rankings easily, which you need to figure out or have to learn from somebody who knows or have mastered it.

SEO software doesn't lead to your site being "banned". If that were the case everyone would get everyone elses website banned from the search engines and you'd see services throughout the internet that would help you remove your competitors.

SEO software can help you do more than just get "backlinks" to your site you know. SEO software can help cut your research time down by DAYS, literally. If you are praising doing manual link building then I sure hope you got tools to help reduce your time, otherwise you aren't being productive at all.

Though there's different SEO software on the market - with some providers automating really questionable link building techniques - no software can really harm you because that's what SEOs would use against their competitors.

That said, not all SEO software is meant for automated link building.

I also do not recommend Photoshop for retouching pictures either because if you look really close you might be able to see cloning errors, and customers would not like that and ban your business. Always do photo retouching manually, by hand, with paint and a tiny paintbrush.

Sure Software are good. I am also using Scrapebox and Market Samurai

But just for analysis not for submissions. Always do manual submissions.
No software can give you as much quality as manual submissions.

Thing is, it's well possible to do black-hat SEO with white-hat SEO software, while the opposite is hardly true.
SEnuke is black-hat, so is scrapebox pretty much, but it's much better than SEnuke.

Seo softwares are similar to very powerfull and fast cars, if you are not a good driver you will end up in a wall, but if you are an experienced driver you will get where you want go in a decent time.

Blog commenting a powerful way to interact with other best blogger ( if commenting is done on best blogs ). So it is my opinion that a software can't create the magic what your manual commenting can do .Moreover it is really not a good way to paste few similar comment on every blogs. you can get few response but still i will suggest not to select the software option.

Personally I started similar thread few days ago, there are some nice points too.

Although I still didn't find which software to invest in, I think that fully automated software will lead to ban. Here is the thing: Google(or anyone else) won't ask you if you've used software or not as long as it is natural.

Some programs are good and provide great results, while others will affect your site rankings negatively. SEO software works as long as you are using it in the right way. However, if you have just launched your site or you are not familiar with SEO, you should focus on organic search engine optimization.

Magic Submitter can submit automatically to a variety of sites (like SENuke), but the main benefit is the Designer mode which allows you to to add your own sites (e.g. you can add Web 2.0's). Problem is it has a very high learning curve. Support is weak if you have any issues, and you'll need to contact the developer for a solution.

Ultimate Demon is something I will be trying out soon, as they've just released the beta version of the Designer mode, similar to SENuke, where you can visually 'draw' a link building campaign. in terms of features Nuke and Demon are almost neck and neck. Competition is always a good thing for the consumer!

If you are asking SEO software for doing submissions then it is considered as Black Hat by the search engines. But if you are asking SEO software for site analysis then it is fair and their are many online software available.

SEM Rush, Woorank, Traffic Travis, Market Samurai etc. are very handy for analysis, ranking analysis, traffic analysis, keyword analysis etc.

Scrapbox is a good one. But, it's better to work naturally for SEO. Though it is time consuming but really helpful for long run. New updates are coming, and no one can say, what will come next. The way suggest, there is risk in using SEO softwares.

I've read a lot of guru advice and bought and trialed a lot of tools. Including SENukeX, traffic travis, market samuri, UBD, AMR etc. I've also used fiverr gigs.

When it comes down to it unless you understand how to build a backlinking strategy you will be wasting your money. You need to understand building a tiered approach and also how to mix and match in stuff like link wheels, video, docstoc etc. Just using the tools will not give you success.

That said I think that tools can help a lot. In particular scrapebox. Once you understand how to use it it can be very powerful in finding sites that are in your niche.

My strategy is simple:

Use Traffic Travis to find out the competitor backlinks to find out whether a keyword will work
Build a list showing hard to easy keywords to win.
Pick 3 keywords, 1 hard and 2 easy
Use fiverr to get open linkwheels built for each of the keywords all pointing to the money site - Build web 2.0 sites with at least 3 pages preferably 5 to 10 and then have them link randomly to each other and the money site.
Use fiverr to get stuff posted on YouTube, SlideShare, Docstoc and Scribd again to the money site
Now get someone to run an senukex campaign on each of the web 2.0 sites, again fiverr will do this.

To do this you need 3 fully sup articles at 70%+ uniquness

If you do 6 linkwheels at $5 = $30
then add in the posting another $5 to $10
NukeX compaign for each link wheel $6 x $5 = $30

$70 in total

Run it over a month and see the difference!

yeah if you mean in terms of everything being automatic....like choosing keywords..posting content...tags ...back links etc.. Then I think it probably isn't worth it in the end. In big G's eye's..this looks like spam. They can tell if your stuff is autoposted. Best to just have it done right in the first place and spend some time and/or money.
