Often i see people say that you need to be at no.1 to 3 on Google for your keywords to get some substantial traffic to your site. This makes perfect sense. Now, if you are in Flippa.com, you will really get a nice idea about traffic, rank, revenue all the stuff for a website. There often, i see websites are not ranked among top 3 on Google and still getting decent traffic which in turn led to decent earnings and sold out for hundreds of dollars. One argument is search engine does not represent the whole traffic buzz. Is it enough to explain?
