Page rank higher on page than for the main site

So, here's the background: I started a medium niche site, basically putting together several tightly related niches. I started it just a couple of weeks before the last PR update, and it got PR 2 - good news!

What's curious is that recently I took a look at some of the pages, and lots have PR2, a few even PR3! The site has a few hundred quality links, a lot of which are for the main domain, while the pages in case have just a handful; one of them actually has a single link from an ezine. How would you explain this ?

    How about one of my site which have total 8 backlinks and 3 pages,it's pr 1 in the homepage and pr3 in the other two pages...

      Yes, same thing with my website. When last time google update pr then my home page rank 3 and my internal page rank is 4. I shocked, but don't worry its depend on your getting backlinks. When i checked my internal page back link strong and quality backlinks than home page url ...

    Unless you really did have a quality link(s) pointing at those internal pages it could be a google fart check your PR in a couple of weeks and things might have settled down.
