Yahoo site explorer is supposed to merge with Bing webmaster tools.

I'm sure something else will come along to save the day. It might be even better!

+1. There must be hundreds of companies waiting for the time to launch their site explorer services, so you needn't to worry about that. Another "Yahoo Site Exploerer" will show up soon.

blekko is one free option. however there are few paid options like seomoz open site explorer, majestic seo backlinks.

if you are using market samurai it pulls backlink data from yahoo site explorer plus it can also pull backlink data from majestic seo.

Open Site Explorer is the next best, IMO.

Also, it's pay for the full version, but if you just register you'll get almost as much info as Yahoo site explorer gives.

Definitely gonna check the Open Site Explorer out.

But closing down the Site Explorer is HUGE because a lot of SEO tools use it for their backlink data...

Has anyone checked out ahrefs lately?

I ran a report earlier this week and was pretty impressed at what they had.

Though I wish they had the nice filtering options that Open Site Explorer has.

Ahrefs.com seems to be founded a couple months ago...I wouldn't be surprised if the site existed only some months. But the reporting section is really nice and clean.

Probably absolutely NOTHING. That's why the yahoo site explorer getting shut down is so huge- a lot of tools and plugins get their data from yahoo site explorer!

I got a heads up about it a while ago from Joe118 and it is because of the updating all of the information if I read his email correctly?

Really Yahoo site explorer is very renowned tools for SEO point of view. There are lots of online tools where we can use alternatives of Yahoo site explorer. I think Yahoo is trying to develop this tool and provide a better one than this. Personally site explorer is best tool to calculate back links.
