I have a website to edit that is made with php files, each file picks up the contents from a text file. How do I update on page SEO info? I'm thinking I would do it in the php file, any ideas?

You have to edit each file and insert the title tags and meta descriptions.

If it's a big site and good earner, you might as well spend some time to convert it to Wordpress.

You're talking about webpages that includes a php include file? Normal website or Wordpress? Do you want to update that file or an individual page? If it's the include you need to update the txt file. If it's a php file I used to download the file and open it with notepad, edit it in Kompozer (free), paste it back into the notepad/php file and reupload it (rename the original file first just in case).

I'll try to explain better. Each page.php (this is how the url loads) includes text that calls the header.txt file and then the page.txt file. The seo information meta info etc, is all in the header.txt, the same file for every page on the site. How can I change the meta info for each page when it's all called from the same file?

Way over my head (not very hard to do), been doing Wordpress for the past half dozen years, but you might try posting that in the webdesign forum. If you can't find the answer there you could try downloading the individual file(s) manually (save the original file or rename it first) and manually deleting the code that's calling the text files and adding the meta tags manually and re-uploading them again.
