Hi Warriors,

I have been searching profitable keywords for a couple of days but almost every keyword in my niche is too competitive.

My question is;

In top 10;

Most of the page PR's are 3 and 4 , number of backlinks are around 300-400 and most them did not make on page SEO optimizations and no keyword rich domain exists.

Do you think that these Web pages are too competitive to get indexed in page 1 ?

Thanks.

No doubt, backlinks are count but in backlinks high PR backlinks keep high priority in increase the traffic, ranking and Page rank of your website. High PR websites backlinks create reputation over internet for your website. Good reputation helps to get ranked over search engines. That’s why it is necessary in search engine optimization. Getting backlinks from trusted and relevant sites are most important to get advantage of those links. When you are given links, it will be treated outbound links for you and when you give links to other, it will be called inbound links for you.

    Hey Frd,

You used different method like (on Page Optimization plus website content). If you do correct optimization with your niche keywords then it would be benefits for your website.Don't go off-page.first do properly on-page then go next step..

Actually i have not started to develop my site yet.I am good at on-page SEO.I can beat them if it just depends on my site optimization. But I will start with 0 PR and not sure to compete with PR 3-4 web sites.

No i wouldn't consider them to be that competitive.....i wished my local niche was that hard
I think if you do on page optimization like suggested above then start building backlinks using the usual methods you could see the results faster than you think.

These sites are nothing like to hard to compete with. Just do your good on-page use quality unique content and build quality links. You will be ahead of them in no time if you put the work in.

Links build PR, Links build Rank but PR is not directly linked to rank.

    Too competitive? Absolutely not.

You've already identified that you could be the only one with a keyword rich domain and one of the few with on page SEO.

Take a look at your competitor's content and produce your own content that is better and more useful to your audience.

Getting more than 400 backlinks should not be too difficult either, especially if you follow their lead and try to get backlinks from the same sites as them.

Then there are the backlinking opportunities you'll find in the Warriors for Hire forum.

It is more important to watch for the other sites' PR get your site PR. More quality backlinks you will be having you will get more pr. So, both PR and back link count are dependent on each other.

I would say PR if I had to choose one over the other. Lots of backlinks are easy to get, but a high PR website to call our own is not.

Look at their anchor texts for those backlinks and take that into consideration, as well as things like on-page header tags and HTML title tag, to see if those contain the exact keyword phrase. These things would be more important than strictly PR or number of bl's.

Everything's important. You need to look at every metric possible in order to get a good idea of your competition. Backlinks are a factor in PR, though, so that's something to look at.

Page Rank is Googles score of any particular webpage, what you should concentrate on is a combination of "on page SEO" and "off page SEO" there's a ton of free information on both subjects if you google it.Basically on page seo is simply optimizing your page for the search engines and off page seo deals with your backlinking structure to that page.

I'd take a look at the first few pages of backlinsk of your competitors. Just because they have 300-400 backlinks doesn't mean squat, they could all be from blog comment spam or forum spam of some sort. Although if those links are coming from high pagerank contextual links, then you've got yourself a harder scenario to rank.

Always dive deep and analyze your competitors backlinks PageRank and never base it solely off of the number of backlinks.

Yes, Obviously the only few factors for PR are

    1. Number of backlinks
    2. quality of backlinks ( PR of linking websites)
    3. niche of linking website (needs to be similar)

    hope this helped
    regards

    Hi condorx,

    Is this a trick question?

Or, do you really not know that neither a Pages's PR, nor it's backlink count, are what is important in ranking in the SERP?

Google doesn't rank SERP based on PR, nor do they rank based on backlink count. Where in the world do people get these ideas from?

    Stop it!

Google ranks listings in the SERP based primarily on relevancy. A pages's PR has no direct influence on ranking, nor does the count of backlinks.

Stop people, and put your thinking caps on. If you have a million backlinks all with the anchor text "auto insurance", is that going to help your page rank for "pumpkin pie recipes"? Of course not. You must realize that Google would be a worthless piece of crap if they served up those kind of results, right?

Google wants to find extremely relevant results for their users, and frankly, that is Google's claim to fame.

It isn't the backlink count that is important, it is the relevancy of those backlinks. Backlink relevancy is used as a signal of relevancy for the SERP ranking. A single relevant backlink has more direct influence on ranking than a million irrelevant backlinks. The backlink count, by itself, tells you absolutely nothing about how relevancy is influenced. Therefor it is completely useless as a metric for ranking.

The same goes for PR, there are many high PR pages that rank poorly, or not at all, for the overwhelming majority of all keywords on the page. Again, an absolutely useless metric, by itself, for determining a page's ranking strength.

Sure, you will see a correlation between high ranking pages and high PR for highly competitive keywords. The high PR is a reflection of link popularity, but not a direct influential factor of ranking. PR is used to weight the relevancy of outbound anchor text. But PR isn't the only weighting factor for OBLs, an even more important weighting factor is trust, and neither of them have any direct influence on their own. It is relevancy that is absolutely essential to ranking, and without it, PR and backlink counts have no importance. Therefore, High PR and backlink counts, by themselves, tell you nothing about ranking strength.

If you have keywords which are related to niche and has vast competition then sometime it takes time to earn a reputed rank online. But techniques which re been used to raise a keyword on search engine are really important.

That doesn't sound as too competitive. However, the sites age and link building history are important too. I think with proper onpage SEO and consistently built good quality backlinks you could beat them.

    Both are important..
Of two, You can only work on the backlinks part..
There is nothing much you can do on the PR part.

Thee are other factors affecting SEO
    1. On page SEO eg, metatag, titles, LSI, etc
    2. Domain names
    3. Bounce rate
    4. Traffic sources
    5. Loading time..

Lots more.. Can PM me if you need more helps.
