Pr0 means the page has been indexed by Google, N/a means it has not been indexed yet. Pr0 means it doesn't have authority in google's eyes yet. Put a lot of good content and backlinks to get a better PR

Not true, I've seen a lot of sites that are on Google with the PR of n/a...

N/A will occur even if a site is indexed but there hasn't been a PR update yet, which doesn't happen all that often.

  Even there is no pr update pages do get pr0.
  In general, pr0 means it is good, and with next update it may turnout into a real number. If its n/a then something is not right...

That is partially true, PR N/A sites also crawled by Google, It means that when sites start crawling in google , it start from Page rank n/a, after that Google start ranking it according to the Google algorithm, page rank start from N/a, 0,1 ........., according. Hence Pr 0 is better than pr n/a.

LOL! Are you kidding me? PR has nothing to do with being indexed. This thread
is indexed, PR n/a.

Where do you people get this stuff?

PR is rounded off, but I can't remember if it's rounded down or up.
PR0 means somewhere between 0 and 1.

PR n/a may actually have PR greater than 0, but not enough to be
rounded up to "0" and be displayed as such.

PR n/a and PR0 are worth about the same, as the PR is negligible
in each case.

Its rounded down for the toolbar PR but as far as the algo is concerned its quite often fractional. So you can have a PR2 that is nearly as powerful as a PR3 because in the algo it could be say a 2.95 but in the toolbar it will show nothing but PR2

I think why some people think indexing makes it a PR0 is because quite often when a new page is crawled its conveys a bit of juice. So its not really the indexing but the links coming in that have been crawled while the site was being indexed.

PR n/a means google has not rank the site at all.

I can only tell you for sure that every site I've put up and submitted to Google (and other search engines for that matter) started off with a N/A and after a couple of months of getting backlinks, adding content and resubmitting, writing articles with Author links to the site, and writing blog posts at the site they moved to 0. So I must conclude that Google starts you at N/A and for whatever their reasons improve you to a 0 ... I've found it a bit longer to get to a PR of 1. It just seems to me to be a factor of time and quality activity within that time.

How it all makes sense? I'll leave that to the SEO experts.

Site have PR N/A When any one create new website..or Google not assigned PR to that site.

If google Assigned page rank than it will be 1 to 10.

If PR is reduced to zero from high PR (says 3 or 4), then it is not good thing since it indicates Google has penalized the site.

PR 0 is better than NA. Why not you focus on getting 1 or 2 or even 3 pr, get some relevant back link and keep updating your website.

One of the most biggest misconceptions in SEO lies within this so called "PR". Why? People think that having a good PR means that they can get on top. That is totally wrong. There are many sites having low PR but still on top.

About the question, it's not actually a big issue if you moved from PR n/a to PR 0. It's just a small puzzle to be considered out of hundred ones. I'm sorry to tell you, but as Paul said, PR is negligible and that's the very truth that has to be understood by everyone.

I personally think that psychologically pr0 is better than n/a, but I do not think that there is a big difference between the two.

Get pr 1 or more then you can feel like you are making some progress.

Some people chase PR and think that it is the holy grail, I do not.

PR0 is also one of the page ranks of Google. N/A means that the page has not been assigned even the first rank and is under evaluation.

If the site is new the google haven't given any PR and it will be N/A and if the website was *live* for somedays/months then google will assign PR as 0 and then it has to roll on to 10. Some used to say that N/A can be due to black hat technique which is not true.

It means next to nothing. Toolbar PR is not something to be bothered with. It doesn't matter if you have n/a PR, PR1, PR2 or PR3, you can still outrank pages with PR 6,7 or 8 that's what matters!

Congrats to you (I think). Work on making it better now. N/A means that you were previously not considered fit to be assigned a PR (even though it was 0). Now you can claim that you are now in the PR race and all you have to do is work on bettering it.

Well most people have miss-conception about it. They say that finally their blog goes on to PR0. Well that truth is google crawled your site and give you PR0 meaning it doesn't have enough backlinks and quality. But if your still NA it means you still have time to do more works to your site reason because search engine not yet verify your entire site and not given you yet a rate of PR.

What PR n/a means: It can mean two things. Either your site is fairly new & haven’t been online between two public PR updates (usually 3 months), or your site has been penalized by Google. So if you have a old site that had PR before but now showing a gray bar in pagerank, you should check your site address in Google search. If your site is still there in search, you can relax that you are not banned.

What PR0 means: PR0 means that your site has been indexed. But due to the lack of quality of backlinks it is somewhere between PR0 to 1. If you have quite a few backlinks & your PR is still 0, then your backlinks are not relevant & quality enough.

Therefore..yes! rejoice for this progress and now work hard on quality content and links

PR N/A is given to sites that haven't been live through a Google PR Update and PR 0 is for sites that have gone through a PR update but aren't worthy of anything higher than PR0.

PR0 is better, however make sure you are increasing the domain authority and you will get a higher PR. Anything is better than an N/A unless you are staying a PR0 for a few years..then id suspect something else.

  I would say yes, however PR doesn't matter for sure.
  
  I own an 8 year old site, minimal "SEO", it is still a PR0.
  
  However it still receives plenty of traffic from the big G and always has. The site sells TV Parts so its quite niche, but not an exact match by any means, it ranks for thousands of part numbers and make/model combinations.
  
  I wouldn't worry too much about your PR, that's all I say.

To me 0 means worse as it proves that my site is actualy has PR0. N/A shows that Google is still deciding about it and it can go up (or down if PR was not zero before it had become N/A).
