How long do the backlinks show up in yahoo site explorer? Like 2-3 weeks?

    Sometimes can take several months - although as you know Yahoo links are not updating anymore - service is not being continued.

    yahoo's dead, the most important thing is that they are indexed in google, which BMR conveniently updates for you

    From the BMR Knowledgebase:

    While indexing rates differ, in general we see 50% of posts indexed within 5 days, 70-80% after 10 days, and 90%+ after 14 days.

    We continue to build links to unindexed posts in hopes of eventually getting them indexed.

    As now you know that yahoo site explorer has dead. So use the google analytics tool to know about the backlinks. As it update every 24hour it means once in a day. so you can get the report for the backlinks daily. It will show the sites from which you have get the backlinks and also you can know that from which site you have get the more backlinks and more benefit.

      I know yahoo site explorer is dead. This was posted way before site explorer went offline. I was asking because i have been using bmr for a long time now and my backlinks always indexed quick (and still do) and would always show up the next 2 days when checked with a tool. Well like two months ago i started a new site and let it age with content for about a month before starting my backlinks. I usually start building the first week i put a site up and always rank in about 2 weeks. Well, this new site was getting links for a month straight and was no where to be found in the top 100. Not one bmr link showed up in any tool and till this day they havnt. Lol I see some akward stuff ranking sites but this was to strange. I just let it die and started a new site and i end up with a winner. I havnt been doing seo but about 6 months now but i notice there are certain sites that just wont rank from day one.

    I would not worry about whether backlinks shows up in yahoo or other backlinks checking tool, matters only if I got my rankings improved.

      I agree with MSC on that!! Check SERP's and if its the only back linking your doing you know its working
