Were your last posts unique and relevant to your web contents.
You should also check your back links because it is quite possible that some of your competitors have used some black hat technique against you and posted spammy links to your site for which google penalized you.

So you've given it 3 days and make the assumption you have a penalty? If you're rankings are still like this in two weeks time then you know you've got a problem, one you likely won't solve. Give it another week or two and see how things go, I'm almost certain you'll notice everything back to normal again (or better).

I hope it is just a temporary dance. This has never happened to me before so I've panicked a bit. Will give it a couple of weeks to see how things go...

I had this happened once, drop completely, but after another month carefully rebuild, you will gain it back.

Just relax and re-evaluate your strategy and start over..

the keyword is BMW Angel Eyes, from page 2 last one to nowhere and gain it back to page 1 now.

check penalty on your site, if you have webmaster account then check your account first then check indexing status of your website. if your website is deindexed that means your site have severe penalty

I thought it's normal for sites less than 6 months old.

If it's a new site, it's probably just being sandboxed. It happens to most new websites.

If this is a new site, then Google the term "QDF".

You will probably find your answer there. Your site was only temporarily ranking high because it was new. It has now settled into where it belongs, according to Google.

I read a lot about this and have remarked this on some of my websites but come back again to 1st page if doing backlinking slowly and seriously using white hat techniques.

The same thing has happened to me. I was number one on Google for a certain keyword and on page one and two for various other keywords. Since about 3 days ago, I have completely dropped off Google for ALL my keywords, I'm not even on the radar! I hope this gets sorted out as I have been completely white hat as well. I hope you get sorted out. Keep us updated!

Go slowly building good backlinks (5 - 10 per day).. so when it comes alive again in google serps will get good ranking.

This happens in many times times such as :
    a) Site back-links are increased or dropped
    b) Site is down or 404 issue
    c) Hacker attack
    d) Site is new and keyword is not settled properly

Also, sometime it happens automatically and also recover automatic.

Check webmaster for check 404 issue, not found, index page, site speed, back-links and various activity. Keep passion and I hope this should recover soon.

It happens. I don't think there is any better answer than that. It happened to me last January and I'm going through it now.

The only thing left to do, as I see it, is go for the 1000th time over the guidelines and wait. Keep doing what you were doing before, and you should bounce back, better than ever.

I'm sorry I can't give you any advice that will make you feel better, but from my experience, if you have good content and good backlinks you will eventually return to the SERPs.

The exact same thing happened to me 2 days ago... My 4 month old reviews site had a couple top 3 keywords and many top 10, slowly getting better every week. I was getting an average 15-20 visits each day with 60% bounce rate getting better every weeks. Unique content, mostly white hat SEO since the begginning...

Now all my KWs are down the drain, not even in google top 200... only 3 KWs left and the best is at 51...
