On Page SEO Optimization ( tricky question)

Hello mates,

I am having a bit of an issue here. Say I am targeting "london tickets" and that has 500k exact match BUT "tickets london" has another 100k exact seaches. Do I:

1- Optimize the page for "london tickets" only and make another site and page altogether targeting the less searched "tickets london"

2- Optimize the page for "london tickets" and "tickets london" at the same time

    I would target the two keywords at the same time since it is just a reverse. You can easily rank for both keywords if you have highly optimized page and good backlinks. You can use both keywords in your anchor text.

    Do you have an exact match domain? If you do, it will even be easier to rank for both keywords. Remember that you want to create pages for humans and not for search engines so definitely go for #2.

      I would personally put two posts on the same site
      each targetting one keyword.

      I would then link the post with the lowest searches
      to the post with the highest searches.

      Hope that makes sense.

    I would opt for optimizing for both on the same page. Historically, if I rank well for one phrase, I rank well for the reverse phrase as well. When link building, mix up your anchor text to target both.

    Try to create long tail keyword with "london tickets" and optimize it becasue it will be beneficial for you.

    Oh I love this stuff, Technically you COULD optimize for just the first phrase and rank for BOTH using just back-linking (assuming you optimize correctly for the first).

    For THAT particular phrase, I'd probably just optimize the post for both phrases at once

    I'd do something like this:

    Title Tag: London Tickets | Tickets London | domain.com
    Description: Are you looking for London Tickets? Tickets london Features the best tickets for the most popular events for up to 50% off...
    Keywords: tickets london, london tickets, discount tickets in london, london tickets discount (etc)

    And then of course add an h1, h2, h3, include the MAIN word in the first AND last sentence, 2-4% keyword density and you should know the rest by now.

    I'd try that FIRST - if it wasn't working out, I'd probably create a 2nd page, drop a link in the footer and optimize it separately - but as those are the same words and all, I'd just stick to one post/page and see how it goes
