Do you think keyword based URL's are extremely beneficial for SEO purposes?

If yes, do you think getting a keyword based domain, parking it on TOP of your main domain (that has a good keyword density for that domain's keyword) will help rankings even more?

    First question absolutely!

Second question, what do you mean with "on Top of your main domain"?

Sorry, its basically just parking a domain in your hosting account so that it loads your main website (domain 1) but shows domain 2 (the keyword domain) in the address bar. What do you think?

I think that it is smart to go with keyword rich domains.

If you try "parking" the domain to show basically a mirror site you will be penalized by the search engines most likely and is not something that is generally recommended.

Now if you get a nice long tail exact match you could possibly earn some type in traffic with a 301 redirect and be safe!

With your keywords in both you Title and your URL it is often easy to get into the first page of SERPs. Google really seems to like that. Put up a domain on a low traffic keyword just a few days ago and it already has the #1 position with zero backlinks.
