Don't go monkeying around with high PR backlinks from sites that aren't contextually relevant - because that will not help you. In fact, Google may just de-index your whole site for that kind of madness and carrying-on!
I agree. Page ranks are useless if its irrelevant to your site's content but I believe if you will use high PR article sites it will really help your site since article sites dont have single category e.g. sports or a site about a band

Hi, yes this can be true BUT it is much more effective if the pr 8 site that links to you is related to your content. That can make it much more powerful

Haven't you noticed - the PR ranking has been missing from sites, even Google, for a week or more?

Never mind. It was all just a coding thing, rectified with one simple change.

Do people actually research things for themselves??

            Do you??

Is very important that the PR site is related to your site content yes..
But if you are linking to high PR sites your PR will raise.
Another thing is that you shouldn't do spam coments.
