From what I understand there is no difference in cross linking and reciprocal linking. If someone knows of something else I would love to hear it.

Cross linking is the method to post links on few sites with each one. Let me explain. You have 5 sites of your own. if you post one site link on all other four site, and repeat the action with other four sites too, then it will be called cross linking. I think it is beneficial.

Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

Cross linking is the process of linking your own websites together...
Cross linking is acceptable, as long as it is not done in mass...

Make sure cross linked websites are related businesses.

Cross linking of few websites is acceptable but things goes unacceptable if you are linking some hundreds of websites.

Cross linking is a form of reciprocal linking. The only difference between them is that the former points to a series of links between a number of sites that more or less act like a two-way link (multiple-way links in some cases). Imagine a one-way road as a normal link, then a cross-link can be compared to a two-way road.

    Hope that helps
