Hi.

I have a site that is ranking as 6 and 7 in my niche in different keywords. I want to climb even higher and I've been thinking about maybe build a sipderweb of backlinks.

So how exactly should I build it to get the most effect out of it? Any good examples?

I also have scrapebox that I could use if any good.

Thanks.

I have found from sometime that blog and blog comments , videos ,articles and social bookmarking have provide the best results for my site. So you can try these methods for your site. But provide the new and useful content in your comment and also create the unique description for your submission. And use the social media also. All these ways will give you the best results for your site.

Are talking about tier linking? You can have a good example in Google. For one example, You can write a good quality and unique article with a link back to your site, and after you submit it to a good article submission site, you can now blast it with social bookmarking links (for example).

We are so occupied with link building we often forget the obvious option. Ask all your friends for backlinks from their sites, blogs, forum comments etc. Don't forget to give them proper instructions so you won't be marked as spammer. And be patient

Like some other said, you should use a variety of link types, on several layers of links so you get links indexed.

For example you will want to create a link whel, using web 2.0 properties such as squidoo, hubpages, blogger, and others. I'd say one link wheel per keyword/post you want to boost in the serp.

Then, create backlinks to these web 2.0 properties you created. These could be social bookmarks, blog comments and forum profiles.

This is just a basic form of interlinking that you can use, but there are much more to do: press release, forum signatures, video marketing, article marketing, etc. Basically, you can mix everything together and decide of a strategy. This is another important point: have a plan for your backlinking.

You can almost outsource everything, here on the warrior forum or Fiverr you can find people doing SENuke campaigns for very cheap. Some others will blast an article with Article Marketing Robot, some others will submit a spun article to a blog network.

There are tons of other offers you can find which will include several strategies combined in one package. This is a bit more expensive but it saves lots of time and is well worth it. I could PM you some if you want.

Edit: I forgot to add, social proof is also important now. Indeed if a site is important, then people must be talking about it on social networks, so links from facebooks or "likes", tweets and google +1 are beneficial too.

Finally you need to be consistent, keep your link building efforts on a 2-3 months period to see your ranking move, and don't be scared of the Google dance.

Major factor in building quality backlinks is doing research for relevant articles/blogs and the time it will take to read the contents so that you can add valuable and relevant comments. Don't look for instant results or you will feel frustrated.

HubPages is dofollow if you use it well. I've not checked if it has changed, but your hub (individual hub page you create) score must be over 40 and your Hubber (pofile) score must be over 75.

Of course if you don't optimize it and just publish crap content for the purpose of getting links your score won't get a high score.

And nofollow is not necessarily bad, it adds some natural backlink profile for your site, and the link is still counted.

Use scrapebox to scrape relevant blogs and filter out the PR3+ blogs and take your time to post relevant/valuable comments MANUALLY.

There is no question that quality backlinks are crucial to the success of SEO. Moreover the question is how to obtain them. While optimizing the content on the page it seems easier because everything is up to you to do and decide with backlinks it looks like you have to rely on others to work for your success.
