Migration to a new forum

Hello,
My friends and I have been running an Online Gaming forum for some time now (quite a war to get traffic to be honest). We are currently using phpBB and plan to move to IPB in the close future since we mostly took phpBB because of the freeware aspect of it.
Google has indexed a lot of our pages, however most of them are duplicated many times, some indexed pages have even been removed and still show up on Google.
So I am wondering, how will migrating to IPB affect us ? Will Google just keep all our current forum pages or will they be removed eventually ?
