Does .org.uk efect SEO?

Hi warriors,

I have a client who wants to go for a .org.uk domain name and even though I don't like that extension, I would like to know if this extension effects search engine rankings in anyway?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes.

It actually ranks easier for local UK search.

In fact any domain ending in .uk will rank easier than a worldwide extension, all other things being even.

It ranks easier in UK results but it'll have a negative affect on your worldwide results.

Basically if he only wants to rank for UK only results then yes, go for it, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
