Is it possible to rank in 1st page of search engines for high competition keywords with the help of a strong expert back linking service?
#competition #competition or ranking #high #keywords #ranking #ranking high

This doesn't make sense. What is a strong expert back linking service? Backlinks are paramount to search engine placements, but how do you decide what is strong and what isn't? Slightly confused at what you are asking.

It would be possible but it takes lot of time to be on top on a very competitive keyword.

I am not really happy with the answers given in the thread.

For many keywords it is possible, this is correct. But for certain keywords it is near impossible UNLESS you manage to establish a real authority site for that keyword.

Take for example the keywords "insurance" or "motels". You will see that Google is dominated by sites like allstate, statefarm etc. because Google gives CERTAIN authority sites a preference.

Much luck trying to rank anywhere near page #1 with a 2 pager adsense site, right below allstate, statefarm etc for "insurance"...IT WONT HAPPEN even if you SEO yourself blue in the face - unless you make a site which sometimes in the future would be recognized as a super authority, equal in relevance to "insurance" as are statefarm, allstate etc.

But on a positive note...this only applies for some keywords...and even in a super-niche like "insurance" etc. there are many other keywords where you can rank.

But here also in general..if you tackle a tough niche your site must be good and be indeed relevant and helpful for that particular keyword.

How exactly do you define an expert?
There isn't any criteria to it.

Yes, it is possible. But it needs much time. Backlinks must be high quality and relevant to your niche.

Sure you can rank on 1st page..but that also depends if your competitors stop building links back to their sites...an expert will know that it takes time to rank on a high competition keywords too...

Its not an easy task to be on 1st page with highly competitive keywords. Sicne your work with that keyword is started yet, but the websites already on 1st page have been done a lots of work to get that position.
I am not saying, it is imposible, but it takes too much of time with lots of regular work.

    It may or may not.

It depends on the service you are opting for. All service providers claim to be expert.

And, alone link building won't help you in ruling the SERP results. You have to practice other techniques as well.

You can do it yourself if you are willing to work!

I started seoing for "make money online" keyword, which is a huge keyword without knowing what even SEO stood for ( I mean, when I started, I had no idea, and I was against big competitions, guys that have been doing this for more than a decade or so!). I started reading, learning and most importantly applying what I had learned and less than a year later, I ranked #1 for it.

I am not saying this to brag, but just want to show you that it is possible and you don't need any "seo expert". They will do the exact same thing you are reading and learning abut on this forum.

If you want to rank for any keyword, just apply seo method you learn. Simple as that!

Surely possible.. the strong websites are actually like yours, but it have better seo parts, including onpage and offpage. If you can make your website like your strong competitors, then you can win. But it can be hard and take a long time to reach it.

Of course you can rank competitive keywords - anything is possible but you've got to ask yourself is it worth it? It might take you years and then you'll only see a decent slice of the traffic potential if you hit the top 3 positions.

Chances are there are many other less competitive KW'S that you can rank quicker for and see faster ROI. I normally try to balance my SEO with some easier KW's i know i'll see quick ROI and at the same time I also target long term high traffic potential KW goals that may take months even years.

You've got to remember that the more competitive the KW the more links you'll need which means you have to be careful over the distance not to trip any search engine filters and this takes someone who really knows what their doing with link building.

satrap - how long did you stay at position 1 for 'make money online'? and where's your site now?

Not more links, better links.. The last thing you want is a Google employee going through your link profile, sifting through thousands of spammy blog comments and article directory links. I've seen some sites ranking in the first position for competitive keywords with 0 backlinks, it's anybody's guess now..

He ranks at #23 over here but I've seen him rank at #1 indeed. I also checked his backlink profile before and it was pretty natural so wonder why he dropped so far in the rankings, it wasn't that long ago that he ranked at #1 I think.

It's funny that mr blackhat aka https://www.syndk8.com/ now ranks at #19 for that kw.

    Why not?

Take note: ranking for a high competition keywords does not mean doing 10x of what you have been doing for your low comp keywords.

Just keep at a keyword you really want to rank for and soon enough you will get any idea (if any) how hard it will be to rank for that particular keyword.

Some keywords like 'money' or 'making money' etc are just too broad and you will find it very hard to get ranked for these unless you have a very strong domain name and a viral website. Look for secondary keywords like 'make money online 2012' or 'make money using blogs'.

You will have a much higher success chance with the secondary keywords and it is almost always sure to start driving traffic almost immediately after your website gets indexed.
