Keywords for your blog

I was wondering about doing multiple posts targeting the same key word phrase. Any feedback, good, bad or doesn't matter. Obviously different titles.

The reason I ask is that I was reading a report by a very successful member of WF and when he builds a site he writes three articles 850 to 1,000 words on one single key word phrase and never posts another article to that site. In this case I am planning on twenty articles, but some of them are about one phrase. I have tried to figure out a way to modify them a bit, but none of the alternatives has enough traffic to be worth the time.

Don't think there'd be any harm. Some would argue, for example, that a single post or page of a 1500-word article would be the same as 3 separate posts of 500-word articles. I'd probably go for the latter, simply because G seems to be moving toward larger 'authority' sites with subsequently more pages/posts indexed. In the past, those 2 choices would probably have been equal in terms of SEO, but nowadays I'd go for more pages. Obviously I would suggest having more than 3 pages, but that was just for an example.
