Yahoo directory weird thing...

I submitted and paid to be in the Yahoo directory. $299 was taken out of my account earlier this week and I got listed yesterday! But the weird thing is the charge on my debit card is gone!?!? :confused:

I did another check and I am still listed, in three different areas!

Maybe they saw it as a non-retail site so they refunded the money? Makes me want to list some other sites.

Thoughts?

They've cancelled the $299 and they're going to slap you with a new $897

  First you sat the money was taken, then the charge was gone.
  
  Well, was the money gone as well? You should have said that
  the money was credited back as well.
  
  Why would you think they don't charge non-retail customers?
  
  You do realize, that you will be auto-billed for another $299
  in one year. Rip-off city, to be sure.
  
  The yahoo directory aint worth it.
  
  Strange thing for me, I had a site listed free many years ago,
  1997 or so. The site is still there. Ah the good old days.

  Yes, the charge was there, but now the original charge is gone. There was no credit. It's like it never existed. I am going to wait a few days to see if it pops back on though before I celebrate. :p
  
  I know there is the annual cost. My thinking is, if this new site isn't successful I will drop the listing. If it is successful, then I could drop it because I wouldn't really need it, or keep it if I am really successful, because I can afford it.

For $299, it's like a PLEASE WORK! kind of backlink that really isn't necessary.

Yahoo directory hold its worth and it makes me wonder to try listing my website and pray that the send back the money to me after indexing my website. :evil:
