    First of all you need to get your site heavily indexed. You can have the greatest site in the world but if nobody knows where the store is then nobody is ever going to walk through the doors.

    To get your site indexed you need to promote it. How do you promote it? Here are some ways:

    * Article Marketing
    * Directory Submissions
    * Social Bookmarking
    * Contributing on relevant blogs
    * Press Release
    * Feed Aggregation
    * Paid Advertising
    * Using a signature in a related forum

    The best links are those you'll get if your content makes people link you without having to pay, trade a link or generate links yourself.

    If you content rules and has some real value for visitors, you'll save alot of work and money building all those links yourself.

    Make a linkbait page on your site - something interesting, funny, or controversial. Something that will surely grab visitors' attention.

    This is completely anecdotal, but I've heard from a friend who does a lot of SEO that google seems to place at least a little bit of weight on the amount of traffic that a page is getting. More traffic means more relevant pages to users, and they will sebsequently rank the pages higher.

    What sort of question is this?

    What do you want? Sergey Brin giving you a personal phone call??????

    What do you mean by 'get noticed'.

    If you mean you want a page indexed in a search engine - then write a page of content, upload it to your website and then submit the link to Digg. Google will then find you.

    Yahoo is a directory - not a search engine, so you will have to pay for a prominent listing.
