I don't agree with "no time" but it is definitely fastest way to increase PR.

Just make sure the posts you're commenting on have PR. (Not just the blog.)

Also, you can greatly improve your comment approval rate by first making sure the blog is active. (At least has posts and / or approved comments from within the past month.)

Actually website traffic is very important for any online business, to get traffic you have to go through few technique.

First of all design your site with professional touch and friendly. Submit your site to google, yahoo and dmoz. This takes around 3 months to crawl and get listed in moderate keywords. Do not use popular keywords because there is too competition for high traffic. Submit your site to lots of Small search engine and directory.

Now after this you do not have to work more on search engine and directory.
Now the work is on link building & How to raise your PR (Page rank)?

Open up firefox as your browser and go to google. Look up the SEO Quake in google and download it. Once you've done that, go back to google and type in "your niche:Blogs". Seo quake will tell you the PR of each of the blogs and will also let you know which ones are do-follow.

Find some that have a PR of 3 or higher (depending on what your PR is) and get some comments on them with link pointing back to your site. Many times you'll have a tough time getting your keyword in anchor text on blog comments, but if you take the time to contact the blog owner first and ask them if they mind as long as you will be a regular commenter, many times they will let you.

Yes, You are right. But we should also focus on more activities like Social bookmarking, banklinks for high PR sites, blog commenting etc. I think updates in 3 months interval normally so be updated and spend more power in that month in which PR have to update.

Thanks

i am new with popularity to my site . i tried to post ads in b2b and forums but it doesnt work . the admin will delete the post or invalidate my account. i think there's something wront with the post . but i cant search any good forums to post ads .Any ideas?

it's not your post... they don't like you spamming their forums with signature ads.

and, it's very simple... get backlinks from pages that have PR themselves, the fewer links on those pages the better, the higher the PR of those pages the better. Backlinks from pages that 0 or n/a PR aren't going to do much for your PR.

Thanks

The concept is very simple. But actually putting it into practice isn't. Blog owners seem to take pleasure in not approving blog comments. I have tried many times. I always read he blog and post a meaningful comment, not a spammy one. But they are left "awaiting moderation" for an eternity it seems.

Thanks

I am totally agree with you. Forums used to delete accounts if they seem spamming. They don't allow signatures until you build trust in that forum.

Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. This increases the PR of your website. Another suggestion is that start using ezine ads, when you create an ezine you will be able to keep visitors coming back to your website a lot more times.

Get links from sites that already have PR.

PR0 links will take a while to raise your own site's PR, so what you can do is point them at Web 2.0 properties or EZA articles, both of which seem to attract PR a lot faster from low-value links. Make sure these pages link back to your site.

By low-value, I don't mean super-low-value, like xrumer-style links. I've found that because so many links posted by xrumer get removed, Google discounts most of the blast and your PR is usually not increased. The only benefit in most cases is that the backlink count will scare the hell out of potential competitors who don't know how you did it.

In any case, it can work well if you use high-quality, contexual links EARLY; that is, before doing an xrumer blast. That is really the secret of a good SEO campaign: good links early on.

I've heard that 19 links from pages with similar PR will give you the same. I think it's a bit more complicated, though.
PS: don't get too caught up in the race for PR unless you're trying to prove someting. You can rank #1 on the first page with a PR0 site, above nine PR4/5 pages.

Thanks

You can raise the PR of your site by creating backlinks. You need to create as much backlinks as you can to some high PR sites. If you can create backlinks to .edu or .gov sites, you'll be able to get high PR of your site within a short time. Wish you all the best.

Pretty simple. Higher PR backlinks will boost your own PR quicker than the same # of lower PR backlinks.

Not too surprised in your jump from PR0-PR5 if the links were DoFollow. PR9 backlinks are hard enough to find even if they're NoFollow.

The best and more effective way to get PR is to get links from sites that have higher PR than your site. I surmise the links you are getting are PR 0 or nofollow links which nofollow links will help with serps, but will not pass the link juice or the Page Rank. Look at this was one PR 6 link back to your site with minimum OBL's will probably help you jump to PR 4, one PR 8 link will probably help you site to PR 6 with minimum OBL's, this is just a reference point, and not to be considered factual, but I have done it myself.

The more backlinks you build from high PR websites the higher your own PR will be. You either build tons of backlinks from low PR sites or a few from high PR sites. Also, for example a blacklink from site that already contains 100 outbound links will be worth much less than a backlink from a site with only 10 outbound links.

First you need to know is that pr is not depend on the backlinks only. But there are many more factors that affect the pagerank like the content ,time spending of the visitor to the site and action they performed. So for getting the high ranking for your site ,provide the unique and useful content on your site and in your submission, then try to get the quality backlinks ,and try to keep your visitor engage with your site in the way get the higher conversion rate and to decrease the bounce rate. So management of all these things be helpful for you to get the rank.

Hi
I think you are newbie in SEO because every one know about how to increase page rank. So introduced some new penguin friendly tips which are very helpful in increasing page rank.
1) Link juice is most important factor in increasing page rank so you have to improve it by quality link building.
2) Make strong your social presence , this should be almost like a reflex
3) Focus on quality not quantity.
4) Improve your inter linking structure.
I hope these all tips will help you in increasing your page rank.

Hello Sophia1216,

1) As you are saying, your ad is deleted in b2b directory, so i think you are not following submission guidelines, so i suggest you to read guidelines for ad submission, this things will clear your doubt to a great extent.
2) Now second thing you are saying you are submitting your ad on Forum site, so i want to say most of forum sites do not allow ad submission, as this thing is against their website policy. So never post ad on forum site.

Finally i want to suggest you to post your ad on classified site. This is the good thing to get lead for your site.

The best , fastest and free way, which will have your site indexed within a few hours is to submitt to who is", "about us", "website statistic", pages. These sites are crawled by google every few minuets, and will also give you a backlink and ping your page by submitting to them.

It isn't how many links you have, but how good the links are. I have one site that runs an article submission, and that puppy is a link magnet. It has over 8000 backlinks, but they are all crap. Future PR claims this to be an 8, however the actual is rank is PR2 - based on the few "good backlinks" that I hooked.

I think there are many reasons. For your website, I believe the PR is not increasing might be caused by:

1. The articles might not be original and 100% unique.
2. The backlinks are not really genuine and common practice by SEOs such as social bookmarking, etc.

For improving the page rank you need to get more and more backlinks for your website. Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (for example, this is used by Google to determine the Page Rank of a webpage).

This is manual, not software stuff, and just involves finding the pages to comment on and then creating you comment, with a DoFollow link from either the comment field or your user/profile name. Anchor text will be a benefit for SERP results, but won't effect your PR.

It is so easy to do, I'm amazed more people don't do it.

The other crucial factor is to make sure your internal linking structure is beneficial to the PR of your site pages.

Rather than trying to pretend that I'm incredibly smart and knowledgeable, and thus massively increasing my Warrior credibilty, I'll just direct you to a very useful page about how your internal linking can effect PR, this is the first step to get right.

Pagerank Explained. Google's PageRank and how to make the most of it.

  Enjoy

Build backlinks from high quality websites, one with high pr is better than a bunch of no pr pages. So better focus on building quality links instead of just spreading your site's link like crazy. Build links daily and you will see the results after, it won't be instant though.

Judging by this comment, your book is going to be awful.

Pagerank is a measure of the quality of incoming links to a webpage. That's it. It has nothing to do with the age of the site, the content, the user experience, or anything else. It is a measure of the quality of incoming links. End of story.

I have seen some of the other excerpts you have been posting around, and I sincerely hope you are not planning on actually charging people for this book... unless you are going to file it under fiction.

This can be whole story. I have a site 6 years old. In recent years I've neglected it a bit but 2 weeks ago I added a new page and wrote a couple (I mean good quality articles) and I just got a PR5 for that page. What surprised me is that other pages including the home page have PR4.

Yes indeed BUT if there is a PR5 site and a PR2 site and both are trying to optimize for certain chosen keywords and have backlinks with these keywords. Guess who will be high on SERP. Yes PR 5 site. If you have keywords optimized content, links and PR you are home.

Similarly is there any website to check back links of a site ?. i expect that if we enter our domain or main page, it have to show all sub links and its back links as numeric, no need to show every sub-domain's back links in details just numeric enough.

To get page rank you need high PR links pointing to your site. You can get them from blog commenting or purchase/rental. I once experimented by pointing a package of high PR homepage backlinks to a brand new site. About 45 days later it checked in with a PR5.

Best way to boost your pagerank = Getting links from other sites with higher PR. So lets say we have a blog that's PR 1 and it has 2 links, 1 from a PR 5 and another PR 6 - don't you think it would give it a boost? Just remember that's it's an algorithm.

There is no hard rule that if you have pagerank for your page, you will have lots of traffic. Instead, concentrate on the following points given below:-
1- Add unique, relevant and user lovable content to your site.
2- Update the content on a regular basis.
3- Get some backlinks to your home page and some of your inner pages from article submission sites like ezine and sooper articles.
4- Create some squidoo lens and get some backlinks from them.
5- Social bookmarking is the key so dont forget to promote your site.
6- Think of something which can add as a link bait for your site.
7- Do not use unethical techniques such as blog spamming, duplicate articles etc.
8- Do not forget to get some quality backlinks from directories.

See Sophia, There are many factors which affect your PR. One of them is back link. Back links should have quality before quantity (backlinks' Quality is more important than backlinks' Quantity). So do not Spam forums, blogs and other places to make backlinks to your website. Do not forget if you start spamming forums, Google will take down your PR.
Please notice: I told you "There are many factors which affect your PR". No single factor guarantees top rankings. Several favorable factors increase odds of success. So try to work on all of these factors.

Let me use part of my recent book (Not yet published!). Below you can find Important PR Factors:

------
White Hat SEO Ranking Factors are categorized in two fundamental groups:
1) On-Page SEO Ranking Factors: Including Content Factors, HTML Factors and Architecture Factors. These factors are in the direct control of the publisher.
a.Content Factors: Quality, Research, Keywords, Engage and Fresh
b.HTML Factors: Titles, Description, Headers, H1-H6 Tags and ...
c.Architecture Factors: Crawl, Speed and URLs

2) Off-Page SEO Ranking Factors: Including Links, Social Factors, Trust and Personal Factors. These factors are influenced by readers, visitors and other publishers.
a.Link Factors: Quality, Text and Quantity
b.Social Factors: Reputation and Shares
c.Trust Factors: Authority and History
d.Personal Factors: Country, Locality, History and Social
------

I hope it will be useful for the others.

Thanks

In the forums, you can get the visitors by participating in the discussions relevant to your topic. And one more thing, you should not post your topic for just increasing your posts. You need to give your valuable answers to others. Or else you can start your own threads in relevant topics. So , if you write any posts in wrong place, admin will warn you and delete your account if you still not obey the TOS.

I've never really cared for Pagerank. Don't get me wrong, it's great for braggin' rights or if you're selling links from a high Pagerank page you own, but apart from that, doesn't do a great deal.

Some people think the higher the Pagerank, the more traffic you'll get or higher your rankings will be... This just isn't true at all.

Expecting a little respect out of this here, so don't give me days worth of work removing spam comments...

Post DoFollow Comments On My Blog (Read Below First)

I starting building a website a while back and left it stagnant for a while, meanwhile working on my paid projects. Recently started the project again and found that I had PR1 and PR2 pages throughout the site.

Because of my own searching and spending hours upon hours looking for Dofollow blogs, I think I can relate to many of you stumbling upon this thread.

So, I've opened my blog with DoFollow Links and CommentLuv for your DOFOLLOW pleasure!

***Please be respectful of this and post meaningful comments to this blog. I would love to see it grow and don't mind sharing some link juice for helping me out.

***The Links I'll post below are to the heaviest hitting pages on the site (PR Wise)

If you don't think that the article is correct, feel free to debate it. On the other hand, if the article or blog post helped you out, leave a comment and tell us how you found it helpful.

Short, one lined comments will be deleted, so don't even bother. Yes the comments are moderated, but I will allow nearly every post to have at least one tasteful link.

My DoFollow Blog Pages...
[What is Bounce Rate? (PR2)]
[Meta Keyword Optimization (PR1)]
[Niche Markets (PR1)]
[Sitemaps for your website (PR1)]
[Website Navigation (PR1)]
[What should I blog about? (PR0)]
[Search Engine Optimization - Definition (PR1)]
[Website Content (PR1)]
[Decrease Bounce Rate on Your Website (PR0)]

Browse the site and post some tasteful comments with your own keyword embedded links... You may even learn something in the process.

(Reciprocal Links are appreciated)

Thanks

PR comes from getting links from other high quality PR sites. The more high quality links you get, the higher your PR will be.

If you want to increase your PR, just focus on building high quality links on PR2+ sites and it will be up in no time.

Yep, I do agree that quality backlinks work. You should also update your site regularly. I didn't mean daily, but if you can pull it off, why not? Just have a schedule when you're going to update your blog. About the PR, it updates only after a few months, so don't expect your link building efforts to bear fruit in an instant.

PR flows from other pages with PR through to external/internatl links from the originating page. Some PR gets lost along the way, some can be degraded if there are too many links on the original page.
The best way to build PR is to have other high PR pages linking to your page(s)

Google has implemented its new Panda algorithm so now raising a PageRank no longer depends on how many backlinks you have. Google now takes into consideration the quality of a blog / website, the originality of its contents and if it has plenty of new and fresh content on a regular basis. Today, you can't really rely solely on Google to get traffic anymore, meaning you need to spread your efforts. Using banner exchange networks and exchanging links with at least half decent sites is more important now than what it ever was before.

Page Rank can come from more than off site link building. You can also increase page rank by building more pages on the site itself. On these pages, you should be using targeted anchor text that targets specific pages on your site. Also, I have seen old sites with very few links have decent page rank. Google likes old trusty sites.

Backlinks plays the vital role to generate high PR for your site. You need to create lots of quality backlinks from high PR sites. Moreover you can check the web pages of your competitors. You need to create more internal links to your site. Hopefully you'll be able to get high PR for your site if you do this properly.

I like to post on blogs but not because of the links! Many blogs today are nofollow anyways. One great thing about posting on Blogs is it will bring qualified traffic to your site.
Many people try to build links with blog posting but this tactic is really becoming obsolete, especially with Googles new Panda algorithm. Most blog post links end up sending you a link for a few months and then the link is gone.Google knows this and their new algorithm waits to see links for 6 months+ before really passing credit to them.

Now a days just building any type of link for your website will not help to improve the page rank of the website, you have to get quality and natural links to boos the page rank of the website, so it is really important to take care of links while building any back link for your website any spammed and link farms will lead to penalize your website so take care of links while building.

You do not have to worry about getting page rank it does not mean anything does not have any bearing on how good your site is.
Just post fresh content to your site every week and make sure you have a google profile and a facebook presence.

Your website page rank depends on several factors. Posting on forums alone will not raise your PR. It is important to provide quality content that attract both human visitors and search engines, get quality backlinks from well established sources, and promote your website or blog on social media sites. Don't forget about building internal links and improving your website navigation for search engines.

One of the mainly useful ways to improve your site's pagerank is by attainment more backlinks and building link status. The quantity and quality of backlinks pointing to your site can involve pagerank.

The more quality sites linking to your site, the more important it appears to Google. Each backlink is careful a "vote" for your website from another site. A backlink from a site with a high PR has better weight compared to one with a low PR.

Not sure what's going on with at least one of my sites for sometime, been rather erratic and I wouldn't know what's the reason... It's still at PR0 for a long time now even with its over 200 pages of good high quality content, over 4500 backlinks (as reported by GWT) from several authority sites including a few EDU and GOV links as well as direct links from homepages (not mine) of sites with PR 3, 4 and 5. My other sites went up the charts pretty fast. hmmm...

Paul Hill SEO 14 years ago

Time and time again you get people enquiring about Google PR. I personally cannot see why so many people are striving towards a higher PR. A higher PR does not mean that you will feature higher on SERPs for a given search criteria.
Google PR only updates about 4 times a year anyway. if you optimise for a specific keyword set you will find much quicker results and if researched properly you will achieve a higher conversion rate.
It is not hard to go and buy links and improve your PR, anybody can do that. Does this then mean that you are increasing sales and revenue? Highly doubtful!
My advice would be to set about your optimisation / IM strategy with intent to improve SE rankings for specific keyword sets. PR will follow in time! And when it does you are safe in the knowledge that you have accomplished the task using legitimate techniques.

Hey i have this question (you can ask questions here right? : P), is it possible to achieve high (and by high i mean above 0.....) PR with a website that has a lot of different, not-related content? I want to create a blog, for the exclusive purpose of making posts with backlinks that people will pay me for. And, of course, the higher the PR, the more value backlink has = more money in my pocket. I also know that PR (and website's quality in general) is achieved by giving content that is not only unique but congruent... so how would that work, tell me, thanks.

Forums are usually moderated, so your lucky if a forum website would allow you to post ad. Moderators want to maintain the quality or value of the conversation so they make sure to discourage those who are commenting just to post ads and spam links. Forums is a valuable place to find your potential clients yet I advice the dis-use of ads due to moderators of forum sites. Though it may take some time and effort, you need to build a relationship with the members by posting valuable or useful information instead.

Its all about getting good link diversity, you cant just get high page rank backlinks you need to get low ones too, or google will pick up a pattern. Same goes for IP diversity. Its also important to get some "no follow" links too, otherwise it looks too artificial if you only get "do follow" back links.

Creating and publishing articles. Articles are an easy source of generating new traffic. You can include your signature in your article. This will bring in more traffic from article submission directories. Your signature usually consists of 4 to 8 lines. Usually the first line would be the title of the website that you are trying to advertise. The last line would be the link to the website and the lines in between these would be a sales pitch to draw your viewers into your website.

Page rank is used by Goggle to assign a value to each page on the Internet by measuring importance it's content. PR is based on the back links and back links are assigned to our site by other sites. More the back links more is the page rank. This can be achieved by submitting your site to other web directories or reference sites. Your sites should have links from high quality sites.

The forums will always kick you out if you are spammy. They do it here. They do it everywhere worth posting to. Make sure you are handing out quality info and reading the posts and blogs before you post. Also in article marketing provide useful content to the reader. It is not just about building backlinks, but also getting traffic through your articles. Convince them to visit your site by making them eager to hear more of what you have to say.

To increase you page rank firstly you have to post unique content in your site and beside this you have to get backlinks from good PR site. You can do blog comment, forum posting, social bookmarking, article submission. But Please keep in your mide that don't spam in any site, if you do it then the site admin must delete your posts and disabled you from the site.

Hi! I think that the main reason why sites delete your ads is that they are spammy? Google and most sites actually recognize if your post is spam or blatant advertising. Try reading articles on the net on how you can post your ads in credible site. There are hundreds available and I personally check out digitalmoz.com for the latest updates and tips. Goodluck!

I also think you are doing anything wrong when you making post. Just keep in your mind that never try to spam in any site if you do it, then the site administrator must banned you.
However, to increase your site popularity you have to do right SEO, Post unique contents in your site, Do Blog comment ( use your real name in Name field in any blog, if you use your keyword then there is a little probability to approve the comment) in those which have a good PR. Make forum posting, Do article Submission, index your site in Google, bing and yahoo, do social book marking.

PR is nothing, it doesn't matter at all, it just a way for Google to fool webmasters. They even return random PRs sometimes.

Focus on content creation, optimized website structure(this is where most marketers don't have a clue about how to do it right), and user experience.

I guess by far the best tools/browser plug ins for SEO are ''SEO QUAKE'' and "SEO BOOK.COM" tool bars. you can see page rank, page position for specific keyword, alexa ranking, semrush, number of indexed pages by bing and google, links form twitter-google+-facebook etc.

Your posts are probably being deleted because they are not "relevant" enough to the topic, or when they click your link, it's not to a blog, but to a sales page.

No one is naive on the internet any more. People can see what you are doing, and if you are doing things that are not aligned with "their" business model, then you get booted.

My own suggestion... there are only so many hours in a day. I would either pay for traffic, or work on video tutorials and my on-site SEO. Blog backlinks, in my personal opinion is simply a waste of my precious time.

If you want good backlinks, use articles, videos, or press releases. A lot of the advice I see here, tends to confuse, as opposed to clarify.

The best way to get a good rank is to do lots and lots of SEO works. But remember to have a good content in your website. Never stop your SEO works. Concentrate on all fields of SEO equally. At the same time try with some automated SEO works. This could boost up your results with a better margin. An SEO tool could assist well in such case. For example a Search Engine Visibility Tool is available at . This tool does a lot of automated SEO steps. Some of them are,
* Easy, one-click website submission to Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, AOL and many more.
* Easy one click submission to over hundreds of directories.
* Improves search engine rankings with keyword and suggested topics tool.

I think we all got off track with the OP asking about posting in forums.
When I am new to a forum I usually go all the way through the trial period just trying to help others. I don't worry about my signature link and I don't try to advertise. There will be time for all that soon so you just need to be patient.
Also be careful what you post when you do try to advertise. I have an adult oriented business so it would be very easy for me to post the wrong thing and have it be offensive to half the customers on this very forum.
You just have to remember that what you do may not be everyones cup of tea. I have pretty thick skin and I have seen things on the internet that I definately don't approve of. If you put all content aside you can easily find info on forums like these to help you no matter what biz you're in.
Just remember we're all trying to make money on the internet, we just have different styles.

Thanks

Thanks for reply Riyaraj.

I get the point about relevant replies, I think the point I'm trying to make is do you search out sites for (what could end up being just) one off replies, etc, or would you spend your time leaving as many (relevant) links as possible on a site such as this one?

I suppose to refine the question, would be to turn it into an economy of time one. Would you spend more time on here leaving links, than searching the net for sites that might only offer you minimal chances to leave relevant links (I hope that makes sense).

If your market is broad and highly competitive then it will became very hard for you to get PR. It is easier to get high rank by perfect match domain name. I am using this method and with very less efforts my blog remains always on page one.

Try to get some links from high authority web2.0 sites and if you have some budget on hand, buy some high PR links from homepages. You can find people selling such services on the "Warrior for Hire" section of this forum. But be careful. Only a few such links will do as it'll raise a red flag if most incoming links to your site are from High PR sites. Think about it, the entire internet is made up of websites with varying PRs. So it makes sense to get from a variety of sources, whether high or low PR. Hope this helps.

Thanks

The best & effective method to increase ur PageRank is to build backlinks from high authority websites in your niche...Most of the good forumS allow you to post comments with link back to your site but ofcourse you can't spam them with irrelevant stuff...look for relevant forums in ur niche..As for blogs ..not all will allow you backlinks while u post comments on them..

other alternative will be to buy backlinks from high PR sites in your niche..

High PR does not translate in high SERPs. You can get high PR ranking with quality back links from authority sites but your site won't necessarily rise in SERPs. A PR2 site is beating my PR4 site in many of my sought searches.

Right... But the KIND of backlinks are REALLY IMPORTANT!

Backlinks need to:

1. Be closely related to your website or blog topic.

2. Not be from sites that are known to use "blackhat SEO" methods.

3. Not be from known "Link Farms".

4. Not be produced using any kind of "automated software."

5. Use "Anchor Text" with "keyword related" links.

I would suggest closely related articles (keyword related) and blog topic. I would also strongly recommend an occasional press release to provide a much needed boost in the SERPs"

The link popularity of a site is measured using Google’s most important web ranking metrics known as Pagerank.

Pagerank is the Google’s way of measuring how popular a website is; based on linkage data. Higher quality backlinks and the amount of them translate into a high Pagerank. In case you want to delve deeper into mathematical understanding (not needed really), here is the formula

PR (A) = (1-d) + d (......) to PR (A) = PR (A) + (1-d) + d (......)

It means

A page's PageRank = 0.15 + 0.85 * (a "share" of the PageRank of every page that links to it)

Try to build do follow link with high pr. Your PR will automatically increase

Hello
Don't just link with websites that have high page rank. you can link everyone. If you link to someone website that has pr of 0, this will not hurt your website or your page rank. It will only increase page rank because you are getting a back link on your website. Google doesn't look at your back link's page ranks. It only looks at how many back links you have....

Well you need both in SEO if you want a natural link profile. Do-follows allow link juice to flow through where as no-follows don't. The PR of a site depends on the PR of the do-follow links so if these are all PR1 you'll not get a high PR for your site, ever. If there are lots of PR7s pointing to your site you will see the PR of your site increase over time up to a point, say, for example PR5. Other variables also come in to play here especially with the latest updates from G.

Go for following techniques to get high PR:

1. Links in forums, directories and high PR blogs
2. Social Bookmarking
3. Social Networking

and remember one thing "Go for quality not for quantity".

1 good link is better than 1000 bad links. That one good link can help you to get high PR but that 1000 back links could be wall in front of you to achieve high PR.

I always use these professional methods till now and I rank well with my sites:
Link Directories
-Always request backlinks from link directories. I use paid or free.
Social Bookmarking
I ususally spread my links allover social sites and get a considerable amount of traffic.Outsourcing has proved to be a beast when it comes to this.
Press Release Publishing
By using press release services I always get to target anything from local media and larger networks including Google News And Yahoo! News.
Guest blogging
Many have gotten alot through this and honestly the one that does well with me is dailyblogtips. You can search on google.

You can and should do what everyone on this thread has suggested. But you should keep one thing in mind. It takes time to increase your page rank.

You could do it quickly, but it will drop just as fast. It's happened to me!

Take your time and just keep building back links.

In the recent time where you have big penalties by Google like Penguin and Panda you need to be very careful to create good back links for your website. Only High PR good authority sites back links can offer you Page Rank. And for that you need to work hard and continuously. I wish you all the best.

I think content is most important. In the recent August 2012 I saw a few websites with almost no backlinks awarded a PR3 by Google just based on their content. So best way is to get as many Google + ones, Retweets and Facebook shares as you can.

Try to put more emphasis on a "social presence". Google has been using that more for ranking lately. I saw an article by Matt Cutts on my Web Pro newsletter a couple months ago. It is easier for their bots, and harder to cheat. Make sure you add social bookmarks to the formula!

Here are a few tips that will help you climb pages in SEO over time.

1 - build the right website so that the traffic you generate likes what they see and find it relevant to their search. Be sure to include Google Analytics codes on each page so that you can see traffic.
2 - do a quick A/B ad test using Google Ad Words to see which keywords drive the best click-through rates to your site so that you can narrow down the most important and relevant keywords for your site. Pay attention to length of visits and page views on your site. Are people sticking?
3 - using the top 5 performing keywords from your test - update the pages of your website as needed to ensure your site text content has those keywords throughout pages on the site and more importantly in the top fold of the site landing page. Don't over-use the keywords.
3 - be sure to use those keywords in the title tags of your web pages when adding headers, meta, etc.
4 - get active in social media sites that tie content back to your website. Be sure that your social media posts provide value of some kind be it insight to others or product discounts, etc. Pushing your wears will get dismissed and is posting for the wrong reasons.
5 - continue to test online ads with small dollar amounts to sharpen your targeting and over time this process will build more organic traffic.

Hope this helps some,
Jeff

I hope you are aware of this. Instead of posting ads, become active in forums and perform the least amount of blog comments. Also try to submit your blog or website to the top 5 to 10 relevant directories.

This method might be the slowest method of gaining high Page Rank, but this is the most safest method.

Ads are not allowed on most forums, unless of course the admin approves it. Majority of forums will in fact approve your ad for a fee.

Truthfully, posting ads on forums is a total waste of time and effort. I would recommend either buying targeted traffic or boosting your site up in SERPS.

You got to be careful when people say 'comment on blogs'.

According to Matt Cutts, (follow him on Twitter - his info is invaluable) this isn't what it used to be.

You don't want to comment just to comment. Instead, you want to GUEST POST - on RELEVANT blogs.

This means establishing a reputation with the site owner, and giving them good, original, relevant content on their blog. Not only will you get a great backlink, but you'll also be able to siphon the traffic as well.

• DMOZ
• Yahoo Directory

• Go Articles
3. Guest Posting

Criminals today have learned how to pass those stupid "Fake PR tools" which basically check if there is an active redirection on the domain by running the Google search query "info:domain.com" and checking if the result is equal to "domain.com" or "www.domain.com".
So we need to use other methods to figure our whether the domain is fake or not.

The easiest way is to check the backlinks ! when coming across a PR(X) domain you should expect it to have at least PR(X) backlinks, and PR(X+) backlinks if you really want to be sure.
The backlinks has to be natural-authentic, and not artificial-spammy ones that their only purpose is to 'squeeze' PR.

It takes a while for a website to go up in page rank! It took me a little more than a year to get one of my sites to a page rank 2.

If you try to do it too fast by building a lot of back links Google will penalize you and label your site as spam. It's happened to me!

Do some blog commenting keep in your mind while commenting you should comment on relative blogs. Before this you need to publish fresh and new content in your website then you can register in forums, here you need to wait comment on at least 10 threads then you can add signature or links if you add before this definitely they will delete your comments or links.

Try to increase the traffic to your website, PR will automatically increase. I have a low PR site, not too many links, but high traffic, so it got a decent PR

Use social media, the links coming from social media are also valuable, or else buy some links from some good sites.

There are a lot of methods to gain popularity or page rank (p.r.) so to speak (you can check you p.r. at prchecker.info). One of the best ways to achieve a favorable P.R. is to exchange links with blogs with high p.r., if you have a blog or leave your u.r.l. to websites that has a high p.r. as well. This is like leaving a thumb print of you through your site.

Most of the forums or websites has a portion mostly found in the lower part that you could leave comments as well as your thumb print (u.r.l.), If you comment on someone else's post be modest and try to avoid bitter comments so your post will be accepted.
