I don't agree with "no time" but it is definitely fastest way to increase PR.

Just make sure the posts you're commenting on have PR. (Not just the blog.)

Also, you can greatly improve your comment approval rate by first making sure the blog is active. (At least has posts and / or approved comments from within the past month.)

Actually website traffic is very important for any online business, to get traffic you have to go through few technique.

First of all design your site with professional touch and friendly. Submit your site to google, yahoo and dmoz. This takes around 3 months to crawl and get listed in moderate keywords. Do not use popular keywords because there is too competition for high traffic. Submit your site to lots of Small search engine and directory.

Now after this you do not have to work more on search engine and directory.

Open up firefox as your browser and go to google. Look up the SEO Quake in google and download it. Once you've done that, go back to google and type in "your niche:Blogs". Seo quake will tell you the PR of each of the blogs and will also let you know which ones are do-follow.

Find some that have a PR of 3 or higher (depending on what your PR is) and get some comments on them with link pointing back to your site. Many times you'll have a tough time getting your keyword in anchor text on blog comments, but if you take the time to contact the blog owner first and ask them if they mind as long as you will be a regular commenter, many times they will let you.

Yes, You are right. But we should also focus on more activities like Social bookmarking, banklinks for high PR sites, blog commenting etc. I think updates in 3 months interval normally so be updated and spend more power in that month in which PR have to update.

We have submitted all of our sites to DMOZ and search engines. We even have the keywords in the domain. Only had them up a little over a month and 2 of them were on the second page of google! Now they are gone..........idk what happened. Any suggestions??

i am new with popularity to my site . i tried to post ads in b2b and forums but it doesnt work . the admin will delete the post or invalidate my account. i think there's something wront with the post . but i cant search any good forums to post ads .Any ideas?

it's not your post... they don't like you spamming their forums with signature ads.

and, it's very simple... get backlinks from pages that have PR themselves, the fewer links on those pages the better, the higher the PR of those pages the better. Backlinks from pages that 0 or n/a PR aren't going to do much for your PR.

The concept is very simple. But actually putting it into practice isn't. Blog owners seem to take pleasure in not approving blog comments. I have tried many times. I always read he blog and post a meaningful comment, not a spammy one. But they are left "awaiting moderation" for an eternity it seems.

I am totally agree with you. Forums used to delete accounts if they seem spamming. They don't allow signatures until you build trust in that forum.

Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. This increases the PR of your website. Another suggestion is that start using ezine ads, when you create an ezine you will be able to keep visitors coming back to your website a lot more times.

Get links from sites that already have PR.

PR0 links will take a while to raise your own site's PR, so what you can do is point them at Web 2.0 properties or EZA articles, both of which seem to attract PR a lot faster from low-value links. Make sure these pages link back to your site.

By low-value, I don't mean super-low-value, like xrumer-style links. I've found that because so many links posted by xrumer get removed, Google discounts most of the blast and your PR is usually not increased. The only benefit in most cases is that the backlink count will scare the hell out of potential competitors who don't know how you did it.

In any case, it can work well if you use high-quality, contexual links EARLY; that is, before doing an xrumer blast. That is really the secret of a good SEO campaign: good links early on.

I've heard that 19 links from pages with similar PR will give you the same. I think it's a bit more complicated, though.
PS: don't get too caught up in the race for PR unless you're trying to prove someting. You can rank #1 on the first page with a PR0 site, above nine PR4/5 pages.

You can raise the PR of your site by creating backlinks. You need to create as much backlinks as you can to some high PR sites. If you can create backlinks to .edu or .gov sites, you'll be able to get high PR of your site within a short time. Wish you all the best.

It is possible to increase PR by getting links to page from other pages with high page ranks. So in order to increase PR it is needed to search high PR pages and to put link on them.

I have 40+ domains and I run them on auto so I hardly even see what their Page Rank is. Because of this I let lapse a PR3 site not knowing it's PR...

Is there any software, free or paid, that can take a list of my sites and show their PR?

you've download the toolbar and installed in Firefox,then you can know the PR for all websites.

i was wondering if any one here has a step by step guide to increasing page rank of a website?

I recently built a site and got 2 links (just 2 links) from a PR 9 website and within 6 months, the PR of the website went from 0 - 5!

I was wondering if this has been experienced by anyone else?

Not similar but i have got page rank 0 to 3 by getting dofollow forums backlinks and also low level do follow comments backlinks.

Pretty simple. Higher PR backlinks will boost your own PR quicker than the same # of lower PR backlinks.

Not too surprised in your jump from PR0-PR5 if the links were DoFollow. PR9 backlinks are hard enough to find even if they're NoFollow.

It's simple. Point high pr pages on the site. You can do that by purchasing home blogrolls with high prs or any other high pr backlinking packages.

Use lots of meta keyword tags. Use it WITH Commas. Make sure you don't repeat the same word more than 3 times in a row. Google only indexes the first 101K of the document - so don't use TOO many.

Google does not look at or use meta keyword tags at all...this is an undisputed fact.

The best and more effective way to get PR is to get links from sites that have higher PR than your site. I surmise the links you are getting are PR 0 or nofollow links which nofollow links will help with serps, but will not pass the link juice or the Page Rank. Look at this was one PR 6 link back to your site with minimum OBL's will probably help you jump to PR 4, one PR 8 link will probably help you site to PR 6 with minimum OBL's, this is just a reference point, and not to be considered factual, but I have done it myself.

For article directory websites, be more strict to post contents will be helpful to get better PageRank, via that way you can maximally make sure you'll get more inbound links than outbound lonks.

1) As you are saying, your ad is deleted in b2b directory, so i think you are not following submission guidelines, so i suggest you to read guidelines for ad submission, this things will clear your doubt to a great extent.
2) Now second thing you are saying you are submitting your ad on Forum site, so i want to say most of forum sites do not allow ad submission, as this thing is against their website policy. So never post ad on forum site.

It isn't how many links you have, but how good the links are. I have one site that runs an article submission, and that puppy is a link magnet. It has over 8000 backlinks, but they are all crap. Future PR claims this to be an 8, however the actual is rank is PR2 - based on the few "good backlinks" that I hooked.

with the latest Page Rank update, i have a site from PR0 It now increased to PR2 with just a default starting page of wordpress no other contents....

I think there are many reasons. For your website, I believe the PR is not increasing might be caused by:

1. The articles might not be original and 100% unique.
2. The backlinks are not really genuine and common practice by SEOs such as social bookmarking, etc.

  In my experience, probably the easiest way to get higher PR initially is through placing some DoFollow backlinks to your site by commenting on High PR pages.
  
  This is manual, not software stuff, and just involves finding the pages to comment on and then creating you comment, with a DoFollow link from either the comment field or your user/profile name. Anchor text will be a benefit for SERP results, but won't effect your PR.
  
  It is so easy to do, I'm amazed more people don't do it.
  
  The other crucial factor is to make sure your internal linking structure is beneficial to the PR of your site pages.
  
  Rather than trying to pretend that I'm incredibly smart and knowledgeable, and thus massively increasing my Warrior credibilty, I'll just direct you to a very useful page about how your internal linking can effect PR, this is the first step to get right.

Build backlinks from high quality websites, one with high pr is better than a bunch of no pr pages. So better focus on building quality links instead of just spreading your site's link like crazy. Build links daily and you will see the results after, it won't be instant though.

  This can be whole story. I have a site 6 years old. In recent years I've neglected it a bit but 2 weeks ago I added a new page and wrote a couple (I mean good quality articles) and I just got a PR5 for that page. What surprised me is that other pages including the home page have PR4.

  I use Firefox 3.6 and have installed Google tool bar and page rank is alive. It also depends on verson of your browser because i was using firefox 8 and the Google toolbar is not installing properly, i don't know what was the problem and that is why i had decide to retry 3.6

  Yes indeed BUT if there is a PR5 site and a PR2 site and both are trying to optimize for certain chosen keywords and have backlinks with these keywords. Guess who will be high on SERP. Yes PR 5 site. If you have keywords optimized content, links and PR you are home.

Among the tools masspagerank is the best as i know cause its shows the exact result of a site's page rank

Similarly is there any website to check back links of a site ?. i expect that if we enter our domain or main page, it have to show all sub links and its back links as numeric, no need to show every sub-domain's back links in details just numeric enough.

To get page rank you need high PR links pointing to your site. You can get them from blog commenting or purchase/rental. I once experimented by pointing a package of high PR homepage backlinks to a brand new site. About 45 days later it checked in with a PR5.

Best way to boost your pagerank = Getting links from other sites with higher PR. So lets say we have a blog that's PR 1 and it has 2 links, 1 from a PR 5 and another PR 6 - don't you think it would give it a boost? Just remember that's it's an algorithm.

I am not totally agreeing.

I think she posts useless posts similar to "Thank you" and ... . In a forum you should help the others. If you answer their questions and solve their problems, you can include your ads and no one will ban you.

ya, ricky has well said as i also use SEO Quake for checking PR. But the question in this thread in the starting was how any one can increase the PR.

There is no hard rule that if you have pagerank for your page, you will have lots of traffic. Instead, concentrate on the following points given below:-
1- Add unique, relevant and user lovable content to your site.
2- Update the content on a regular basis.
3- Get some backlinks to your home page and some of your inner pages from article submission sites like ezine and sooper articles.
4- Create some squidoo lens and get some backlinks from them.
5- Social bookmarking is the key so dont forget to promote your site.
6- Think of something which can add as a link bait for your site.
7- Do not use unethical techniques such as blog spamming,duplicate articles etc.
8- Do not forget to get some quality backlinks from directories.

See Sophia, There are many factors which affect your PR. One of them is back link. Back links should have quality before quantity (backlinks' Quality is more important than backlinks' Quantity). So do not Spam forums, blogs and other places to make backlinks to your website. Do not forget if you start spamming forums, Google will take down your PR.

I have been uploaded more than 500 videos to youtube, so there are many people watch my video, so they click my website and I got huge traffic and backlinks.
Other way I did, to promote my website in some website such as pay per clicks, it is really cheap , you got 20000 clicks, only pay 5 or 10 dollar, so my website to get a good ranking , today my web is pr 5

In the forums, you can get the visitors by participating in the discussions relevant to your topic. And one more thing, you should not post your topic for just increasing your posts. You need to give your valuable answers to others. Or else you can start your own threads in relevant topics. So , if you write any posts in wrong place, admin will warn you and delete your account if you still not obey the TOS.

I've never really cared for Pagerank. Don't get me wrong, it's great for braggin' rights or if you're selling links from a high Pagerank page you own, but apart from that, doesn't do a great deal.

Some people think the higher the Pagerank, the more traffic you'll get or higher your rankings will be... This just isn't true at all.

Use lots of meta keyword tags. Use it WITH Commas. Make sure you don't repeat the same word more than 3 times in a row. Google only indexes the first 101K of the document - so don't use TOO many.

PR comes from getting links from other high quality PR sites. The more high quality links you get, the higher your PR will be.

Yep, I do agree that quality backlinks work. You should also update your site regularly. I didn't mean daily, but if you can pull it off, why not? Just have a schedule when you're going to update your blog. About the PR, it updates only after a few months, so don't expect your link building efforts to bear fruit in an instant.

I work in SEO. To raise PR Google appreciates on many dimensions. I think you make misunderstanding between PR and ranking. You mistaken when you look for forums to post ads. You should submit article to Ezinearticle, Goarticle, Articlebase... It is better.

PR flows from other pages with PR through to external/internatl links from the originating page. Some PR gets lost along the way, some can be degraded if there are too many links on the original page.
The best way to build PR is to have other high PR pages linking to your page(s)

Google has implemented its new Panda algorithm so now raising a PageRank no longer depends on how many backlinks you have. Google now takes into consideration the quality of a blog / website, the originality of its contents and if it has plenty of new and fresh content on a regular basis. Today, you can't really rely solely on Google to get traffic anymore, meaning you need to spread your efforts. Using banner exchange networks and exchanging links with at least half decent sites is more important now than what it ever was before.

  Page Rank can come from more than off site link building. You can also increase page rank by building more pages on the site itself. On these pages, you should be using targeted anchor text that targets specific pages on your site. Also, I have seen old sites with very few links have decent page rank. I use a firefox addon "PageRank" which sits on the bottom of my firefox task bar that automatically checks page ranks on all sites I visit. Looking at it right now tells me this page is a Page Rank of 1 ... Its also a good indicator of Page Ranks of SEO Services to see if they have PR 4 to 6. I've A/B a few times with other Online PR sites and found its spot on.

I like to post on blogs but not because of the links! Many blogs today are nofollow anyways. One great thing about posting on Blogs is it will bring qualified traffic to your site.
Many people try to build links with blog posting but this tactic is really becoming obsolete, especially with Googles new Panda algorithm. Most blog post links end up sending you a link for a few months and then the link is gone.Google knows this and their new algorithm waits to see links for 6 months+ before really passing credit to them.
