Can A Mask Url Be Rank In Google and Yahoo?

Hello. I have some questions about Mask URL.

I am not talking about a 301 redirect. A 301 redirect for those that don't know, means that you log into your Cpanel, you go to icon that says Redirects under Domain and where it says Type: Permanent then you scroll down and choose your domain name, and then where it says redirect to: you put in the link where you want your site to go to, for example you can put your clickbank affiliate link there and direct the visitor to the clickbank sales page offer.

Anyways getting back to what I was saying. I am talking about a MASK URL. Meaning you send the visitor to the clickbank sales offer page but your domain name remains the same at the top. If mask my url this way, can I buy alot of backlinks and submit my url with my keyword and rank high in the search engine.

For example, lets say I am using Market Samrai, and I find a keyword that has SEOT 200 visits a day, PBR 30% and SEOC 15,000, for those that are familiar with Market Samurai with this settings, this example would mean that that keyword would be super easy to rank for with hardly any off page seo like backlinking.

So I go and purchased the domain name and after that I go into my cpanel and add the domain name and pointed to my name servers in my godaddy account. Then the last step would be to choose the clickbank product that was related to the url that I chosed, and then mask the url to the clickbank product.

Then wait a few days for google to index my page, then buy a few backlink packages and also a few link wheel packages to get my site rankng easily on page 1 of google.

Can this be possible? Can you actually rank a url and the actual keyword that is on the url to rank high in google and yahoo?

The reason why I ask is because I have a url that I masked to a clickbank product. I went into serprush.com and i enter my url and my keyword which is the same keyword that's on the url, then I picked top 25 pages of google and yahoo. In google it says that it is not within the top 25 pages but on yahoo is on page 3 for that keyword! I was like what? How can this be?

So now I am so curious. I might try this with a dot info domain just as a test to see if it actually works!

Anyways I know what I am saying sounds very confusing but I am just asking in case anyone has run into this and can share some light on this subject.

Thank you!

I think it depends on how you mask your URL. IIRC the search engines can detect some types of URL masking and they treat it like a re-direct link.

I know that Google really hates re-directs and URL masking so you have to be sure you are using a way that they cannot detect. Part of that is that they really really HATE search results that lead to an affiliate page or a page whose only intent is to collect the email address and name of the surfer. They beleive that these are poor quality search results and that the average surfer doesn't like them either.

It also is not uncommon to rank differently in the search engines. So, while Yahoo may have you on page 3 you may not even be indexed on Google or vice versa.

What you are talking about is a cloaked URL (cloaked is a term that often is used to refer to redirects, but strictly speaking, cloaked means you are hiding the destination URL/site)

Keep in mind that it is against the TOS many sites including Clickbank to cloak your affiliate links.

    From Clickbank

... some affiliates attempt to hide their HopLinks by having them open into other types of sub-window objects, such as frames, iframes, layers, applets, or images. These types of HopLinks are considered invalid, and can result in lost affiliate referral credit ...

UMS there was a very large topic regarding this topic about violating clickbank TOS and I have examine this to the fullest and I assure you the way I do it is not illegal. I spoke to 3 people from clickbank and told them exactly how I did it and gave them my url. They examine my page source code and I was not violating or breaking frames. Therefore I was not in violation. I also show a few clickbank experience vendors how I mask my url and they said that was fine. Again I am not using a 301 permanent redirect method. It is strictly a mask url process I learn from hostgator technical support.

Now the funny thing is that if you look for a few clickbank products, and you go into google and type the actual name of the product, you will see that it takes you straight to the clickbank product itself. Now you say that google doesn't like that, so how is it that even though is their own product and obviously they don't have to use a mask url, still there on page 1 for their product name, which it still the sales page of the clickbank product.

That wouldn't make any sense would it?

      Ok please clarify.

And yes even though there is not tool for yahoo to find out how many searches that keyword gets, if I manage to get on yahoo first page for a keyword that gets alot of exact name searches per month for a mask url that has those keywords, I will still be getting alot of traffic. Not everyone uses google. Yahoo is also a big search engine not as big as google but you will still get decent traffic for a keyword with lots of searches by just doing a mask url that has those keywords on the title and the domain

Would you care to share how you manage to mask the URL without using any of the methods listed that are against Clickbank TOS?

Technically what you are describing can be done. From a practical POV if Google decides they think it's "not in the spirit of thier TOS" they can delist your site. And they do send notices with exactly that verbage.

As for how Google feels about multiple affiliate sites showing on search you can read for yourself:
          https://support.google.com/webmaster...n&answer=66359

They consider affiliate sites duplicate content and they generally will only show the actual site and not all the affiliate sites on search results. If they detect that your re-direct technique is just a way to show your affiliate site or hoplink they can filter your URL out of the search results or delist your site or URL.

Affiliate sites are not duplicate content. It's the
same page, over and over. That link has nothing to
            do with affiliate links.

Google does not arbitrarily hate affiliate links.
            They are not duplicate content.
Google does not arbitrarily hate redirects, all
the big sites use them in one form or another.
Just type in something, like, oh ebaymotors.com.

There are many problems with what you describe,
the biggest one is getting the "url" indexed.

Most likely, it would fail to be indexed.

That would be the least of your worries. Biggest
one would be getting your CB account dumped.

But, like a lot of folks, you are on the way to being
dumped in more places than one.

Why people are so afraid of doing good things is
            beyond me.
