    Good to see another Aussie

    Try:

    Squidoo.com
    Articlebase.com
    Suite101.com
    etc.

Of course, these are good for global ranking.

The best method I have found for link building is creating your own high quality network of websites, this way you have full control on where your link is placed, who views it, how popular it is, how many outgoing links are on the page, etc.

Also, don't just settle for straight article/web2.0 style backlinks, mix it up with second tier backlinks and social bookmarks, etc.

Diversify your efforts and you will do wonderfully well in a mass of niches.

    Cheers,
    Dave

    LOL

You guys gotta start diversifying your backlinks.

I have links from thousands (yes, several thousands, actually) of separate IPs, and even more domains (domains sometimes end up on the same IP address with shared hosting providers).

Get links from as many different places as you can. Only getting links from Squidoo and Ezine Articles is not going to get you very far in the world of SEO. However, spreading out your link building efforts in ways like dadamson suggests is a great idea.

On any private, public and user shared blog network I can find, currently posting into a 25,000+ IP addresses syndication.

I would also include goarticles.com, and submitting to social bookmarking sites like digg.com and propeller.com

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

Not the particular site but as per the method. If use blog then the site which update it regularly and has the quality blog , then if forum then relevant site to the field. So as per the different techniques , used to use the site.

Anybody have any opinions on Postrunner.com and BuildMyRank.com?

My freelancer client used them for quite awhile and I was curious if they're worth the investment?

Link wheels are helpful...but I personally do more link pyramids than link wheels. And I just have to echo the importance of link diversity and patience!

Dunno, sometimes less is more - better to have a few quality backlinks from relevant sites, than all those 1000s of backlinks that really mean nothing and can actually harm your SEO.
