I too think open site explorer is best. One more backlink checker tool is backlinkwatch.com.

There is a backlinkswatchdotcom that will tell you the backlinks that you check from the Yahoo Explorer.

Nothing special like yahoo site explorer,
I checked open site explorer and it is quite interesting but anybody knows open site explorer follows which search engine because i checked one directory link that is uncached in Google.

  Market Samurai and BackLinkWatch.com are the two best, in my opinion. There's also SEMRush.com, but you can only check 10 URLs a day there without signing up to the site. Lots of good information there, though.
