Hi, can anyone give me any unbiased advice as to what has been the most effective seo tool, ?
I would like something I can get for a one off payment of not over 100 dollars that will save me time, probably some way of getting backlinks.

Scrapebox and if anyone tells you anything else they're crazy.

Don't use it to spam blogs. Learn how to scrape with it, find high PR blogs with low outbound links, and manually comment. Oh, there's about 1,000 other things it does awesome as well.

I would buy Scrapebox if I only could buy one tool. There are other really good tools too, but Scrapebox is not so expensive and it can do a lot. Many people think Scrapebox is only good for blog comments, but it can help you with other things too. It can find article directories and forums and wikis too.

You can scrape with free proxies, just takes some time to get new ones on a regular basis. I have 20 private ones and it works for my needs. I don't auto comment though.

Check out Microsite Masters. It's relatively inexpensive compared to other tools on the market. It's the most accurate and reliable SERP tracker I've ever used.

Never tried it myself. SB has about a million features aside from commenting which makes it well worth the $57.

I don't have any tools to use, and I still believe that manual work is better.

okay, then go manually find me a list of 10,000 blogs with PR of 4 or higher, with outbound links less than 50.

You can use tools to do things other than spam. Also, know of any free tools that can scrape 50,000 keywords in less than 20 minutes? I could go on and on.

Scrapebox is worth $1000 easy if you know how to use it, and I'm not even talking about it's ability to spam the whole interwebs.

      Nope.

Learn a few tools and you'll kick yourself for not using them sooner.

Asking what is the most effective seo tool is like asking a auto mechanic what is the best tool to use on a car?

Well it depends on what you are doing, or which part of the car you are working on.

There is no one tool for seo. The best thing to do is ask about a particular area and find people who have skill in that area to give advice.

I disagree in this case. He asked what the best tool under $100 is. There is nothing even close to scrapebox under $100.

The only thing that I would even consider close is a subscription to semrush for a month so you could build a giant database of keywords. But you can do that in the google tool for free it will just take a million times longer.

I'd never heard of scrapebox, so I went to check it out. Website can't be found.

It sounds like a mass spamming tool. Is that the tool responsible for getting hundreds of comments that say "nice job"? How do you use it without being a spammer?

by using it to scrape instead of posting. Yes lots of people use it for spamming but for under $60 it allows you to search for linking opportunities with webmasters that are perfectly legit.

If you could only buy one SEO Tool...

It would be my highest recommendation for you to buy a tool that automates the tasks which you are already doing manually yourself as most of the tools represent techniques that you can do on your own.

That is basically how I run my business we typically purchase tools to automate the tasks which we are already doing ourselves and if we are unable to find one we build it ourselves.

I believe that many people have this fantasy that purchasing a tool magically create a flood of traffic without any knowledge or effort needed unfortunately this is not reality.

So my suggestion is to first practice different techniques and methodologies and see which ones are working for you. After you found a method that seems to be working quite well compared to the rest that are within your test group then try to simplify the method by purchasing a tool which supports the activities.
