Chart or graph making software?

I need to get some software where I enter data, numbers

and give headings for each

and it produces a nice colored graph or chart

example
Avg Gas price by State? Per gallon

Yes I guess excel does that and I see Open office does it also
but seems very complicated

found one online free one...........but its for kids, still looks pretty ok but

Do you have excel to try it out? It is actually extremely simple to do.

More than likely you could youtube "making a graph in excel" or something similar and get a video that shows how to do it.

  I'm a little confused on exactly what you're looking for. Avg price by state sounds more like a table than a graph.
  
  If that's what you're after, then this handy dandy website will let you enter your info, then pop out all the html and css required to get it on the web.
