How Long Does It Take To Optimize Your Site?

As I know SEO is a gradual process and it takes on average 6months to bring a site to 1st page of google.

But here some WSO are claiming to bring their site to first page within week or even less than that.

Is it possible to bring a site to first page within just one week or so?

I was able to bring my site to the first page of google for the low competitive keyphrase "where to find good backlinks". I did one blog posting package at the end of November and after about 9 days my site jumped from nowhere to first page. Last week it went to #1 from #4 and it started dropping now since I have done no work to continue targetting that keyword. But this does answer your question in the affirmative.

    Hey Zaccks!

It all depends on the nature of your website and keywords.

If it's a sniper site optimized for a niche keyword and targeting specific long tail phrase, you can get on #1 page of Google right off the bat.

Many times I had a clean WP (no content) rank in top 10. There was only a keyword in the title and "Just Another Wordress Site" right next to it.

If you are targeting more competitive keywords it will take time and some advanced strategies to get you ranked well. In some cases it might be even impossible.

So the answer to your question is yes and no.

Bottom line, link building must be a gradual, continuous and diversified process. Reaching good rank is a matter of time dependable on your on page SEO and kind of keywords you are targeting.

It's 100% dependent on the competition.

      Take the following keyword:

where to buy red tomatoes that taste like homemade pumpkin pie

I could rank a page for that in 5 minutes. In fact, in less than an hour or so this thread will probably rank # 1 for that phrase.

Is it possible to get to #1 within a week, sure. Is it easy to find to keywords that are that easy to rank AND worth building a site for...

That's what we call the goose that laid the golden egg.

Definitely, SEO is dependent if you are targeting low phase keywords then you will get ranking in short span of period but if you are targeting medium or high competitive keyword it takes time to rank on first page of search engines

First page ranking depends on lot many things"

    Strength of competition
    ON-page optimization
    Keyword usage
    age of the website
    backlink to the page
number of pages indexed by Google, etc. etc.

If you have a domain name which is couple of years old then you can quickly come on top, but it may take 6 months or so to rank a new domain. As said it also depends on competition

It all depends on your domain and on page structure, though to get ranked within 1-2 weeks is possible mainly only with aged domains.

Lot a things depends upon the competitiveness of niche and keywords... If your website is about health insurance, it could take upto 1 year to high ranking in search results.

Second thing, probably those optimization service providers employ BlueFart techniques. So, before hiring any optimization service.

    Hi zaccks,

Actually, for most web pages you are ranked on the first page of search results the moment your page is indexed. The only problem is that most keywords that new page ranks for are low or no competition keywords that have little or no search volume.

The more competitive the keyword, the more time and effort it will take to get that same page to rank near the top of search results.

So, to answer you question, as long as those services are getting your new page indexed they are meeting the absolute minimal standard as stated in your OP. Not that it is worth much of anything, it is keywords of high commercial value that take time, effort and/or money. Don't be fooled by a cleverly deceptive claim, that is technically true, but an utterly insignificant accomplishment.

It is possible to get ranked on the first page, but one week might not do it.
There are many factors that are involved in this process and the choice of the keywords and the competition are the ones that really matter the most

Ranking mostly depends on the competition and the keywords which you are trying to rank for.
To rank well in a less amount of time it is important that you try to rank for a long tailed keyword instead of a short one. The long tailed keyword might attract less visitors but they will be specifically searching for your site and are serious not some random visitor

If you are targeting high competitive keywords to promote your site then it will definitely take time like almost one to two months and if you are targeting some key phrases which are unique then your site will be visible on the first page of Google search engine.
