I posted this question in the main forum and it got deleted with no explaination. Maybe it was just in the wrong section.

Hopefully you guys can help me.

I started to websites at exactly the same time. They are both review sites. Both have all the contact, privacy and TOS pages up and each site only has one review on it. I was more concerned with site A and wanted to make sure it was indexed so i went to google and put in my URL to my domain in the search bar and it showed up nothing. I thought ok its a new site, only been bought for a couple weeks. I bookmarked it on a couple of big sites and put it through pixelpipe.

Now when i put my URL in the search bar a couple days later, i can see the sites where i bookmarked it in the SERPS but not may actual site A

I tried "site:mydomain" in the search bar and it turns out my site had been crawled using my sitemap because every single one of my pages was in the SERPs except for my main homepage URL

today I tried "site:mydomain" for site B and every single page showed up in the Serps.

What gives? did google deindex my main URL home page for Site A for some reason?

You should take your time to read through the WF rules, specifically:

    2. Post in the appropriate section of the board. Questions about SEO or posts asking for advice on specific products belong in other areas. Not Main Discussion. Post them here and they're more likely to be deleted than moved.
As to your specific question, it's always hard to know the "mind" of Google.

I have seen instances of where only a portion of my new site will be indexed and when I check a little while later, the rest of the pages have been indexed.

At this stage, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep adding content and building backlinks.

  • This forum and many others are very visited by Google Bots. If you place your site link in a sig file it will get crawled rapidly. Whether Google chooses to include it in search results is another story.

Sounds like you have two sites that are very similar and have little content. The bot it likely seeing there is little there... thus not crawling very deep so there isn't really much for Google to return back to someone doing a search.

Build it up and it will show up as content is added.

Being indexed means little if you have nothing to find.

    Good luck.

I have the same issues when I first build my new blog d0nt w0rry about it. It will be indexed as you build backlinks and add more content and your good to go.
