When I put my site together I was told to link any page on my site to other page or pages that might be important or relevant to the page they are reading or to the home page.
My example is my site has many pages with information about specific regions in Italy to help people plan there vacation. I have them linked to my page titled planning your vacation. The thing I am not sure about is I linked from the info pages to the planning page using my web editors link feature so I just highlight the word I want someone to click on and it takes them to the page i want them to go to.
However I also know there is an anchor feature and I can use it to link to the other pages as well also using a hyperlink but I think when I use the anchor feature the words I use as the anchor becomes anchor text and doesn't that show up in all the SE's analytics as anchor text and helps my site over all. Should I go back and change the stuff that is just linked, to being linked by anchor of does anyone if normal linking uses the words chosen as anchor text automatically. thanks Mark :confused:
