A twist on Google Suggest for more...

No doubt advanced Warriors know this one - but in case no one has tried it...

Here's how I came up with this (probably reinvented the wheel) but anyway, as you all know, Facebook's keyword tool sucks. I'm forced to go through it putting in a keyword, then the letter A -- B -- C-- and on through the alphabet to find the possible keywords and groups and such.

Well, I was looking for keywords with Google Suggest... And thought, "Hey, what if I start typing in the alphabet, letter-by-letter?

Keyword A
Keyword B
Keyword C

Well, what do you know. I had already gone through hundreds of keywords looking for negatives, but using this tedious little method flushed out another 30 negative keywords for my campaign that were NOT found with the keyword tool.

So - for you experienced Warriors I feel an eye roll coming. For others who haven't done this. Try it.

And if someone knows something much better than this -- please share!

    There are quiet a few tools around that automate this stuff for you, they can also get a lot more advanced by using suffix's before and after etc.

    I would take a look at keyword researcher

    You can find them here or through my affiliate ID here if you are feeling nice.

    Their free trial works in chrome and allows access to letters a-m, but at $30 the full version has been more than worth it for me. This is a fairly new tool, but its simplicity sold it for me!

      @doubleohdave...

      A negative keyword is a word that you DON'T want to end up paying or a lick in Adwords.

      For example, for many offers, the last person you want clicking on your ad and pulling $$ out of your pocket is "Free".

      So, in either your campaign or ad group, you drop below the keywords and look for "Negative Keywords".

      You then input "Free" and now anyone typing in "Free Adwords Training" or whatever your main keyword is, will NOT be shown your ad.

      You just saved yourself paying Google to send a loser to your landpage.
