Sorry for the off-topic, but people talking about "after-Panda times" like there was a global war/armageddon on the Earth which has changed everything.
Panda is just another name of Google algorithm which changes constantly during many years. To be honest, did Panda really affected you somehow?

Post-Panda, I strongly recommend Ezine Articles, just as I did pre-Panda.

It's easier and safer and better to use it, now, because its traffic has dropped significantly, so there's now even less risk of our potential customer traffic accidentally finding our articles there rather than on our own sites (which would be the very last thing we'd want to happen).

        ^^ This!

People started proclaiming the death of "article marketing" because Ezine Articles had a huge drop in traffic.

Little did these people know that the drop in traffic came from potential customers (finding articles through a keyword search in the SE's), and not those who come to EZA for content for their websites/ezines.

The latter are still coming to the site to source excellent content - no amount of algorithm change will affect them because that's not how they find the content they would like to use.

Logically, this means that EZA is as strong as ever - perhaps even stronger because of stricter guidelines for writers, and (I'd assume) quite a few 'writers' no longer posting their articles there because they now think that it's a waste of time.

In "after Panda times" the role of unique content doesn't change actually. I can show you 10's of the most top Alexa ranked sites that have about 90% of duplicated content. They even don't care to spin it (hint: adult tube sites).

First, I truly dont understand why people think a site cannot rank with "duplicate content". As long as there are backlinks, they still count. Second, there is no such thing as "duplicate content". Google will not list the exact article multiple times, only the one with the highest authority.

Think logically people. If this were the case, press releases would be obsolete. A single press release is widely distributed and published. Are press releases considered duplicate content?

If your primary goal is to rank content on EZA then I'd strongly suggest that you keep your money. You'd only be wasting $97/month if this is your sole approach.

EDIT: In fact, I see no benefit with their membership anyway. The difference could be having your article published a day earlier - this to me, isn't worth the cost associated with becoming a member.

The only article directory I have ever used is EZA; for showcasing an ensemble of my writing prowess and portfolio for private network promulgation and syndication potentiates. Ranking was never a consideration.

That has nothing to do with it at all, Visimedia. Paid subscribers get "scheduled release/publication" of their articles - that's all. They don't get the right to submit any more. They don't get better page ranks.

No ... this is wrong. One shouldn't be using any article directory for its "ranking". That's a misunderstanding of how article directories work.

Article marketers are better off with Ezine Articles not ranking as well as it used to. The Panda updates have done us a real favor, there.

One wouldn't want one's potential customer traffic finding an article in a directory at all - that would be a costly mistake. This little thread might enlighten you to some extent: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ries-work.html

The "page ranks" you've shown there are not page ranks of the sites (for the simple reason that websites don't have page-ranks: only pages have page ranks!).

Those may be the page ranks of the directories' home pages, but unfortunately, articles in directories are published on their own, brand new, non-context-relevant, PR-0 pages, not on the sites' home pages. So they're not very relevant.

This is part of the reason why trying to use article directories for the value of their own backlinks is such a mistaken approach.

ezine articles, because lets face it they are the powerhouse. But still their traffic rankings have dropped off significantly.

Spinning is dead, article directory spamming is dead. But still, EZA is still the better place.

The rule of the game after changes is to direct your efforts in the right way. Instead of swarming hell of article directories submit with few. The better results are always there.

Ok fine article marketing is still very powerful if you understand it correctly but is cyberseo really trying to push auto blogging with spin feature proclaiming panda was no big deal?

Majority of seo people said it was biggest event in 2011. Doesn't mean it affected everybody but please...it was a big deal.

I've had the best luck with ezine articles pre-Panda and post-Panda. If you know what you're doing, Panda should not be a concern whatsoever.

Ezine is already tough to submit articles after the Panda update. For quick submissions, I would go for GoArticles, ArticlesBase, Amazines, TheFreeLibrary and Web 2.0 properties.

As per me that each article directory is the best as it hold the valuable content provided by various people and experts. And if just the drop once, does not mean that particular directory has lots its quality and authority. No as still it has the valuable content and change is necessary for the better results and that is why if google algorithm changes and affect negatively on site that does not mean that site not worth. So as per me all directories that hold meaningful content is the best.

Google panda is Google's search algorithm which helps google to fight content robbers and spammers. So post unique and original article then you will get better result.

Ezine is still the best. Yes, it lost traffic, but a lot of the traffic was lost for low-quality articles. If you focus on quality, you should still see results.

I think ArticlesBase is no follow, and Go Articles got hit more by Panda than many of the others.

If you were using those three directories before with success, that doesn't necessarily have to change after Google Panda. What would need to change is the quality and the originality of any articles you now submit if they were not up to scratch before. However, I would be tempted to take this a step further and use web 2:0 sites like Squidoo and Hubpages. Then rather than just creating a short article of text alone, you could could create something far more valuable to you in the long term using images, video and polls to encourage users to engage with your work.
