Make good money with adsense other failed-why?

Hy,

My question here;

Many people make good money with google adsense and there are many tips, insider tips about particular ad placements and much much more, like joel comm adsense secrets, fatcatblueprint, and many more....

But, on the other side, there are unfortunately many people who do not, or earn only 20-40$ in month with google adsense, why this is so, where's the cause?

Are theese peoples dont know about;

ad placement?
ads blend in?
to filter out untarget ads?
??????

or because what is the cause, of what makes up the difference to those who earn a good thing from $ 500 or more a month with google adsense?

There must be a reason.

Please be an active discussion

best wishes

    People who use asterisks in every word probably have lots of problems with Adsense:rolleyes: It appears you had a posting problem. You might want to go back and edit your post to remove all of those asterisks.

    As far as success with Adsense, we are dealing with a multi-variable problem. You need to hit the following targets: keyword research, content building, on/off page SEO to bring traffic, and ads that convert that traffic. Each of these elements is a subject in of itself and if you screw one up and you might make a mess of everything.

    Good luck!

    If you are an experienced SEO guy I think you already know why many adsense users are not making money. It talks about traffic.

    Those webmasters who are earning great, fixed monthly incomes through Google AdSense are the folks who have insight about the whole PPC world, how clicks and traffic streams are generated online and they are experts in their jobs. The impatient sites admins who believe within a few weeks their newly launched blogs or sites can turn into a cash-generating machine will end up in frustration and feeling puzzled because their sites could just yield cents after months.

    Google AdSense can be like a great and safe way to have monthly income but there are tens of materials which need to be prepared. Having a strong website which is liked by a targeted group of net audience and web communities, having advanced knowledge of writing compelling contents which catch attention of the readers and encouraging them to make click on ads, using eye-catching templates and development styles, picking SEO methods can be a few items to name in here which can directly affect web ranks and PPC earnings.

      Adsense is EXTREMELY easy and people spend lots and lots of time over thinking it.

      All it takes is:

      1) Place your ad in a place people will click it. Pretty much follow a heatmap and you are fine (http://www.top-adsense-themes.com/wp...selocation.jpg)

      2) Get traffic. Most likely by ranking in google for your keyword.

      That. Is. It.

      All Adsense is, is a numbers game. Traffic divided by Click Through Rate.

      There are plenty of good Adsense courses and following ANY of them should make you money. Provided you can rank for your keyword.

      So, I think the real answer here is that unsuccessful adsense advertisers either do terrible keyword research, or spend too much time on the easy on page SEO factors, and not nearly enough time on the difficult mind numbing off page SEO factors.

    yeah there are those that make a good living w adsense still....although the money is not like it was a few years back. It all boils down to your content and if people actually like to read your site and refer the site and come back to it. You have to get a lot of traffic for adsense to be beneficial.

    Also if you have a bunch of different niche sites that are based on low hangin fruit keywords, then you are more likely to get on page 1 of google and get clicks to your site....and make money via adsense clicks. It's alot easier to sell your own product than make a killing w adsense.

    I'd like to take it a bit further and say that while traffic plays a part of the overall picture, your niche will determine how much you make, too.

    Here are the three ways it works (in my opinion):

    - Low search volume keywords + high CPC niche = $$

    - High search volume keywords + low CPC niche = $$

    - High search volume keywords + High CPC niche = even more $$

    Although the 3rd option is the harder of the three, either one will help you earn an income via Adsense. So, if you pick a niche that has low search volume and low CPC, don't be surprised when the earnings aren't stellar.

    In addition to this, some niches just have incredibly low CTR. Take entertainment sites, for example. I always hear a lot of people in these niches get MASSIVE traffic to their sites, yet see an average CTR of 1 to 2 percent. Even worse, they are getting pennies per click. So, you need to find niches that are ripe with advertisers, too.

    Overall, it's not too difficult. Just look for niches with good search volume and low to moderate top 10 competition that are ripe with advertisers. Do that, and you won't have any issues generating money via Adsense. Don't skimp on keyword research and evaluating your top 10 competition, either. The better you get at this, the easier it will be to spot golden opportunities.

    There is simply too many variables to pinpoint the exact problem, for example there are those that produce niche websites which are not specifically targeted to a particular product.

    I recently produced a website on a very high searched keyword and very low competition. Even when I got on the front page of Google and traffic started to appear I still did not make much from AdSense the problem was there was no incentive to click my advertisements.

    From now on I'll try target a keyword when built for AdSense that will provide ads relevant to the content so for example coupon codes, discounts or in general attractive offers.

      Google is tracking your browser history & showing Ads based on your browser history/cache.

      Try something like Google Chrome Incognito, then check your Adsense Ads on your pages to see what kind of Ads are displayed.

      You can also turn off Interest-based Ads inside your Adsense Admin, which show Ads based on browser history:

      Allow & block ads > Advanced settings > Interest-based Ads Preference

        Yukon,

        I just noticed this on my sites and it seems when I go to my Adsense sites the first set of 4 ads only 1 ad seems to be relevant to my content on the page (I have 1 336x280 block above the content) and the rest are random ads for things not related to my page or site. I went in there and turned off the interest based Ads and will see if it helps after it takes effect in a few days or weeks I guess.

        But for this one site I checked with SpyFu and it shows 22 Advertisers and last year this site was getting very good CTR, but now very low. I think showing all those irrelevant ads is really killing my earnings on this site and other sites in my account.

        Can I do anything else to make sure I get the relevant ads all the time instead of these off topic ads showing up? What about section targeting? Is that still a viable option to use these days to get the right ads? Or should have the ad block within my content to get more relevant ads?

        Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Hy,

    @yukon, thanks for this amazing tip, many people dont knwo about this simple turn off in the adsense admin! I have dont hear about this!!

    I think it would be much more better, when anybody puts an target section code in every of his article,so google will shown more target ads, but it can may take 1-2 weeks, before google shown more target ads.

    Any rest of untarget ads filter out.

    Build categories and there put your articles, the categorie must shown in your url too like this;

    www.teaniche.com/blacktea/blacktea-health or so, you get the idea, or you write daily news about tea in a "tea news" categorie, url; www.teaniche.com/tea-news/blablabla.......

    I think with this you will get only target google ads.

    best wishes

    Yukon, Thanks for the reply. I was really concerned that my ads were not going to be targeted which really defeats the purpose of an adsense driven site.
    I have an additional question, if you don't mind:
    The adsense was installed via a plug in on wordpress. I usually install the code I copied and pasted from adsense directly into my sites. When I go to adsense, I see no data whatsoever for the new site. I know there should be some impressions at least as I am getting some traffic and I have been to the site a dozen times adding posts and looking at the site. I have put the site url in as a channel but I am still not getting any data. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks

    To really break it down simply:

    1) Traffics
    2) Conversions (CTR)

    That's all it really comes down to. Everything else is just an extension of those two. Most people having mini Adsense websites have several... it's an easier way to get money, but it's not extremely profitable.

    For an high stable ctr, is there an different between 2 column and 3 column themes?
    I think the most will recommend a 2 column theme, many user not like an 3 column theme, but an 3 column theme makes your website a little bit magazine like, google like this....(?) or take an theme with 2 sidebars on the right,where you can put ads sykscraper under your post articles, like the case studies in joel comm adsense secret to increase your adsense ctr and income.

    I think the layout will be an factor too, not this ctr theme or xfactor niche black/green themes,google will kick you out with this.

    Hy,

    I want indexed my daily "news" articles into google news, so there is my question, Im not sure about google guidelines;

    Is it true, that my articles does not have adsense within between title and content,also not wrapped in?

    Or is it not against google news, when I have an ad unit above any articles, wide skyscraper in the sidebar or leaderboard under my navbar?

    Hy,

    problem is, when you want your posts index in google news. In their guidelines, they say, that your content does not have advertisements, also when in your content is google adsense wrappped in or amazon products, you will be not indexed.(?)

    With google adsense you must the ads have out the content, above, in the sidebar and so on.
