Hi,

If I have a brand new website, what is the maximum amount of posts I can publish in a day without being punished by Google.

If I'm able to publish 10 times per day for example, will that hurt me in Google??

Thanks

Seriously, it doesn't matter ...some people start a new site and add thousands of pages a day...the big thing is to make sure they get indexed.

I think it really doesn't matter how many posts can you publish daily, as long they are in good value, quality, and will be indexed by Google itself.

There is no maximum or minimum number of posts that you need to publish. You're the owner of the website publish just about any amount of them as you like. But make sure you get them indexed.

It doesn't matter. There's real etsate listing websites which publish 1,000,000+ pages in a single day without penalty.

You can post as many article as you want.. Just make sure you are not posting duplicate posts. Only this can be a problem regarding penalty.

I wouldn't consider duplicate post as a penalty, considering a webmaster has 100% control over duplicate post/pages.

Most times a duplicate post will end up in supplemental SERPs, which again isn't really a penalty, it's more like an overflow container for repetitive exact pages (text & page titles).

      Just saying.

Duplicate contents are not really problem(penalty) as long as amount is low. But I have noticed google doesn't love duplicate contents inside of same domain if you are posting excessive no. of same articles. I have tested it many times so that I am respectfully disagreeing with you.

Penalty:- Now if google replace my website by another 3 websites for excessive no. of duplicate contents then I will consider it as a penalty. By the word penalty I am not meaning deindex or slap.

However google can deindex or slap any website for excessive amount of duplicate articles. But till now I didn't notice google slap or sink, deindex for duplicate content.

I agree with you webmasters have enough right to use same articles on their won domain. But google set filter to avoid a domain with lots of duplicate contents for some thinkable reasons. If I were CEO of google I would have developed filters too to protect ranking domains high which use lots of duplicate contents.

I am not scared to use same articles on my domains. But I just dont overdo it. I maintain a good Duplicate Content Density.

        Thats my experience.

Duplicate content is having the same exact content on multiple pages on the same domain, notice I said same domain.

Anyone can scrape an original article on the net & out rank that original article in the SERPs, it's just basic seo. Scraping an article on domain 123.com & posting that same exact article on another domain 456.com, is not duplicate content.

Posting an exact copy of an article on two separate pages of a single domain (123.com) is duplicate content. At least one of those pages will end up in supplemental SERPs. You can sometimes fool Google by creating unique page titles & URLs, but I guarantee after they re-crawl all the involved pages they will self correct the SERPs & bury one of the pages in supplemental SERPs (If your lucky).

Again, this isn't a penalty, it's a webmaster that doesn't understand how to optimize pages for the SERPs.

A penalty is something a webmaster can't undue (deindexed, etc...) on their own. Duplicate content can be undone & the SERPs corrected (by the webmaster), therefore it's not a penalty. Just the same as If we added a NOINDEX to a page, that page would get removed from the SERPs because of the webmasters own fault, but can easily be corrected by the webmaster (not a penalty).

BTW, I also do my own testing & I've tested everything I've posted here.

Unless you're talking about a million or so pages, just post them (and the only reason this matters is because the big G has a hard time crawling them all quickly. There is no point in "dripping" content for the sake of dripping content.

      BUT...

If you want to drip content so your users have to come back to see the new content... that's a valid strategy.

Your site will not get hurt on this one. But consider the users/searchers because for sure they will not reading all 10 articles if they landed to your site. What I mean is, write contents that will suit your users' taste.

Remember to write contents for users and not for search engines.

I agree with everyone saying it really doesn't matter how many posts you add per day really. I would just add that from a user point of view if people are going to start coming to your site and see you post X amount per day, they will expect this in the long term too. So from satisfying your readers' point of view make sure you can sustain the posts.
