Adsense CPC and clicks

Does the Adword tool or any other tools such as semrush show the true cpc values?

For example, I've a site that is ranking high for a keyword with cpc value of $6 but the clicks I've been getting are only maxed at $1 cpc.

Am I missing something here?
#adsense #clicks #cpc

Where did you see $6 CPC

look on google "contextual" tool on adwords tool
    thats the true CPC

the CPC that displays next to the kws? not accurate, there have been several threads about this

Semrush and some other non-google tools show $6 CPC. So I guess they are not very accurate?

i Asked WHERE you saw the CPC
If its in the contextual tool its accurate

if its displayed next to the kw in the normal kw list that comes up, thats way inflated

Semrush? I dont look at that,, its a third party APP, I look at what Google says it pays, not some other company says Google pays

You can find the true CPC by actually getting a click on your site.
That will represent 68% of the CPC.
Then, and only then, will you find the true CPC. Every site
is different and there is no way to tell. Plus, it's an auction,
Changing every time your page loads, new adwords users
come in, old ones leave, new campaigns started, users
          target your site, etc.

Also, in the adwords tool, the CPC shown is also much higher. Based on experiences, does anyone has close to accurate CPC clicks?

Check the context targeting tool. It is a few menu items below the keyword tool. This one shows the actual bids for Adsense sites as opposed to bids for search ads.

Also, check my sig. The guide explains a few other things.

You also have to know the CPC value you get from Google is what Advertisers PAY for the ad, NOT what you receive.

Also not all ads are equal. Ads above the fold have a higher payout than ads at the bottom of the page, so it also depends where people click.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. Guess I'll stick to checking the cpc with the adwords tool.

    @outwest,
I saw the cpc within the normal kw list and not the contextual tool. So I guess that's where my problem is.

    Thanks for pointing it out!

All tools can't give you exact CPC of every keywords. Google Keyword Tool, SEMrush, Market Samurai doesn't give exact CPC. But Google Contextual Tool on Google Adwords gives ideas about the CPC of the keywords. So try analyzing your keywords on this tool and it will give you exact ideas of your keywords CPC.
