Adsense ad units and CPC Question

Should I use a different ad unit for each page on my website?

For example, should a leaderboard ad unit have a differnet ad unit code for each page? Or do most people just cut and paste the same code for that same ad unit and use it on multiple pages?

Does it make a difference for CPC?

    Typically the ad set you use would be niche dependent. Not page dependent.

    Though it is an interesting idea.

    Some of the older html sites mix it up quite a bit. I wonder if its working for them

    Most people use different ad codes for different pages to track where the clicks come from. If you have a big site where clicks come from a variety of ad pages then it would be useful to know exactly which page they are coming from.
