    I have a dating niche site. Well start with the basics bro. Keyword research. Keyword research. Keyword research. Find those keywords, know your competitors (one of them will probably be me haha) and create content. And then you'll need to start some backlinks!

    You want free ways? Start out with blog commenting. Just go on Google type in "dating" + "leave a comment" or "how to date" + "leave a comment". Find the ones with a good PR (use SEO quake), and see if you can leave a comment with your keyword.

    More than anything, start by creating content. ON-PAGE SEO.

    Once you create your content then you can do some free backlinks like blog commenting. Go ahead and ping your posts with pingler.com, and pingoat.com

    Start signing up for these sites
    wordpress, tumblr, squidoo, posterous, hubpages, thoughts.com, xanga, etc. (look for web 2.0)

    Write unique articles or go ahead and spin your articles (may cost money, you could probably find one for free), and post it on these sites with an anchor text that leads back to your main site.
