Adsense not good?

Hey all, just joined and am loving all the good info here on this board! Well, I had a plan to monetize a website, with adsense being involved. I have a friend that told me adsense is kinda bad now, and it can get hacked. Any truth to this? Thanks!

    It's not true, Adsense is still a great reference in IM because advertisers always want lazer targeted traffic and Adsense is all about that. It displays ads only in sites where the content is relevant to the ad. Therefore more likely to be clicked by visitors to that site.

    You will hear both sides here, some good and some bad. Myself, I am not a fan of Adsense, matter of fact I am selling off all my sites right now. It can be an easy, quick way of monetizing your site, but I hate sending clicks away from my sites.

    There is nothing wrong with adsense, but there are much better ways of monetizing your site. You can do both, but I agree with Tech19 that it can take people away from your site.

    If you're site is mainly informational, by offering adsense you can help your visitors to find more of what they are looking for, but for monetizing I'd stick to affiliate products or your own product perhaps by using banner ads, or an opt-in form for future marketing.

    Adsense is still a great program but I wouldn't put all your eggs in one basket.

    Explore other CPA and Affiliate networks in case you get the ban hammer.

    It is still good though, but just know it may not be the best way to monetize your traffic.
