Are All Classifed Ads Worthless?

Warriors,

I have a couple of really new info products and I'd like to sell them via classified ads.

I have them listed on Tradebit, I have some good copy, but I don't want to sell them from a site. I'd like to sell them from a paid classified ad and link them directly to Tradebit.

But the few paid and unpaide classified ads I've tried bombed.

I am on my local Craig's list, I play by the rules, and so far, very little from that.

Can any of you suggest any paid classified ad sites that deliver?

So far, I haven't been able to find any. Perhaps they no longer exist.

Thanks for you help.

Other than Craigslist and USfreeads... most of the classified ad websites won't benefit you whatsoever. I personally think you'll get more results from USfreeads rather than Craigslist.

Tried USAfree one time for material products -- got nothing.

I signed up again and will try them for a month. It's brutal.

Hey Randall are you really seeing good results from USFreeads - I have tried it, even with the highest paid version and still haven't really see any good results

A good friend of mine does okay with Backpage but I've never tried it. You might also want to try classified newspaper and magazine ads. If you shop around, you can get some really good deals.

I don't think that all classified ads are worthless. Take a look at Warrior Forum Classified Ads and you would see that there are lots of people replying to the classifieds ads.

I have used the Warrior Forum classified ads to promote my Flippa Auctions and they have worked very well

Not looking for backlinks, just looking for a classified ad site that really delivers. I guess Google has more or less killed all of that.

I have tired back page and spent $100 and got 0 results. I signed up for USads paid plan, but it has never delivered in the past. I am trying it one more time.

There was a time when a marketer had many choices, now they have a couple. Google has just about created a monopoly. And even with Google and Facebook I end up paying about $1 a click with little or no conversion. I also tried Reddit ad, that really was a waste. I got visitors but no conversions.

Well not to be mean but I think the problem isn't with these platforms or websites, but maybe your copy really isn't as good as you think it is. Perhaps your product is something nobody cares about?

I don't really know why anyone would pay money on backpage... the thing about backpage is you need to do volume, not necessarily quality times or cities, but volume. If you do less than 25 ads a day on backpage, you might not even get 1 hit.

It surprises me you have no luck on craigslist, that is why I'm thinking maybe you have a bad product or something that produces very little interest. I have made a LOT of money on craigslist last year. This year I'm already up to about 4-5K through craigslist alone. Then again, most people don't want to spend the time learning how to successfully post there so they give up or say its worthless.

USfreeads, I think is kind of garbage. Ebayclassifieds, is decent, you might get a couple hits out of every 20 or so ads you post.

Craigslist - is goldmine but like others said before me it could be your copy, product, or lack of knowledge on where to post and what to post. Those factors can definitely affect whether you make a sale or not. Oh btw as a tip....CL people are cheapskates so unless you got something great at the right price you can forget about it.

          USfreeads - total garbage

Backpage - You need to post in volume depending on what sections you are posting in as well.

EbayClassifieds - Boy Boy Boy where do I start.....$$$$$$$$$$! One of the most underutilized classified sites around. Think about it...its a classified site for people in the buying mindset. They come straight from Ebay to the classified site to see if they can get that same deal or better locally or even nationally. If you have the right product or service you can kill it people have not been spammed out like CL people have. Use this site to your advantage.

Thanks for the info. It is a big help. Especially about eBay local.

It all depends on what you are promoting, craigslist, USFreeAds and Backpages have worked for me, try promoting on as many classified site as possible and see which one works for you.

I'm promoting an info e-book, what were you promoting? However, you are correct. I have to try them at least.

You said you do not want to sell them from a site why?
The point is to do what makes you money.
I don't know what you are selling but people may need to see more than an ad can provide. A website can provide more content and video.
Craigslist ads in multiple cities linked to your site in my opinion is the beat way to quickly generate income. Get it right with local postings and then scale it up and you will be glad you did.

Craigslist works, you just need to scale it up and post in larger countries and in larger volume!

    Hope that helps!

As you mentioned that you are selling some info products, just put yourself in a buyer's shoes for a while. Would you buy that from a classified ad? I think not. For selling any info product its necessary that you should establish your credibility by having an online presence (website) so that people know who you are and what you are providing is quality and not just trying to swindle them. Think about it.
