Hello. Maybe this has been ask here before but I wanted to ask this anyways.

I had an adsense site built for me here on WF, they put the ads on my site and my site is ranking on the first page and I am starting to see some revenue.

My question is, does google put the adsense ads in there or did the person who built my site put the ads in there?

Also I was wondering if I can replace the ads that are on my site with related ads to my keyword that the cpc is higher and pays more. Is that possible or is that against the TOS of google adsense.

Thank you for any clarification on this matter.

As a site owner you only have control over the adsense blocks on your site. The adsense ads are automatically placed by Google on your site based on the page content. If you want to target High CPC keywords, write unique content based on those keywords.

There's no way you can replace ads with those you prefer. If you do not like a particular ad then there's the "Allow & Block Ads" section where you have the option of blocking a particular advertiser url.

either that or if you are getting really good traffic you can think of dumping adsense and try going to companies and having them directly advertise with you. You will see a lot high cpc and maybe even more traffic.

raywarrior, you have 99 posts, but your questions are kind of odd.

With all due respect, they seem like they are from a person who
knows almost nothing about adsense. That's a little dangerous
      when doing adsense.

The first thing you should know, is that CPC is calculated on
the value of people bidding for your site, and how well your
      site performs.

Google chooses ads based a number of things. The big thing they
are doing now is putting ads geared for the visitor's tastes or
      recent activity.

You can block ads, but then you are blocking people who have actually
bid the highest to be put on your page.

If your question is about relevancy, look at your content. Tweak
your content title and h1, but devalue other words. Watch the words
you bold or hyperlink. I like putting a simple, direct 2 or 3 sentence
summary of what the site is about at the top of each and every page.

You want people clicking, not necessarily a high CPC. You want
      buyers clicking, not meaningless clicks.

Over time, your site should improve with a higher CPC, or it
      could go down.

You never really know what ads google will place. And every site
you block, was an auction winner. You are blocking high bidders.

Anyway, there is waaaaaaaaaaaay too much to explain here.
You really need to login to adsense and read the help guides,
as well as the help on this forum.

        OH thank you Paul.

By the way what the heck does my 99 post have anything to do with my question.

I am new to adsense and I tried this thread to ask a question that I did not know the answer to. My other 98 post were never about adsense.

        Just FYI.

Fair enough. like I said, no disrespect. You seem to be hanging out here...
Maybe just not focusing on adsense questions. You really need to
bone up on the adsense official help guide and other such things
published by google. Always required reading for a new person to
          adsense.

AdSense is a kind of program which is run by particular website. That allows publishers in that particular Network of content sites to serve automatic video, text, image, and rich media adverts that are targeted to the particular site content and people. These adverts are been administered, sorted, and maintained by that particular website, and these are use to generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis.
