Hey guys,

I wrote a 500+ word article today and spun it using content professor, but he articles I received are 46 - 48% uniqueness.

I read elsewhere that your articles should be at least 60% unique. Can I still submit my work to article directories at this level of uniqueness?

thanks

You can but, I feel as if spinning articles are not that effective anymore.

There is no universal uniqueness calculator. Each spinner uses their own and they are all calculated differently.

I'd take a look at whether the article passes copyscape or not.

Most likely 50% will work with Google if you are only using the spintax once or twice. If you are using it tens or hundreds or thousands of time I would try to get the spintax higher (maybe 60-70%). In the end it depends on the article directory (some are more lax than others).

    Spinning is still very effective.

You should check EACH article and try not only to update some words, but also rewrite whole sentences. It could take you 1 hour more for 50+ articles, but it is worth, believe me!

Thank you for the advice, I have been checking each one individually and changing words around. This is a first round of submission so I'm only sending this out to 10 - 15 directories.

When I do a mass submission I'll make sure the uniqueness is higher!

It depends on the software used.

I am using SenukeX dupecop check which compares 16 articles to each other. If SenukeX says "50% unique", TBS (Thebestspinner) might say it's 85% unique since each software uses another method and numbers for "uniqueness".

Very true. When I used TheBestSpinner I'd get 40%. When I uploaded it to Articleranks it would be 120%.

The reason why I didn't find spinning effective is because I didn't see any improvements from MY OWN experience. However, I believe the best thing to do when spinning articles is that if your spun article should lead to a different keyword. What I did is that my main article would lead to a spun article from the main article. I don't know if that made sense.

I read somewhere that a 30% unique article is considered to be unique by copyscape. That means if your article body's content matches 30% with any other article on net , it would be considered duplicate.

Hence i think above 45% uniqueness is good.

In my opinion, the uniqueness is meant for you to know how many times you can spin your article.

30% is meant to be OK for google, but copyscape won't pass if you have a duplicate single sentence with 6, 7 words all together... I guess Copyscape is tougher than google in this case...

If you have a 30% unique article, IMHO, you can spin it 15-16 times

If you can reach 50% uniqueness, you can spin 20-30 times

That's relative, because a 80-90% unique article won't be readable by humans

My suggestion is: order as many unique articles as you can, and then, spin them and submit to just a few dirs, blogs, etc....

"Article writer" seems to be a more promissing job than a "SEO Consultant" in the near future. lol

Really? I can get an article well into the 80% range by just about any metric and have it be readable and coherent. There is definitely some awkward phrasing, but nothing that would scream out "spun content."

To get there, get away from jamming each possible word with as many KWs as possible and start thinking about the whole article. Rewrite each sentence in the article 2-3 times and spin each of those. Within each sentence, you can usually change a tense or an article without much of a hit to readability as well. Also, use a real thesaurus. The ones in TBS and SpinnerChief are good, but there are plenty of other words you can use that they don't cover.

You guys are working with numbers like "30% is ok", "50% is ok"...but such is worthless if you don't specify what tool you use to measure uniqueness.

So..if i were to make an article and check in Senuke telling me it's 42% unique, i could simply copy/paste the SAME article into TBS etc. and tell my client it's 80% unique because TBS says its 80% unique. This is why i personally don't like to use those numbers since it confuses people.

According to me Spun articles are not working anymore. After panda update its better if you can write genuine article and submit it to quality websites.

Depends how your articles have been spun...if you used auto-spin option, they might not be great and workable after all....best is to manually write the spin code (with the help of a software like Powerarticlerewriter or Spinnerchief) and then take it upto 60% uniqueness....if you can achieve that while maintaining quality, you'll be good to go in my opinion... cheers and all the best

I can suggest you, not to post such contents in 10-15 directories.

Always post one unique content article in one High PR directory, It'll show you result.

I don't spin articles ever. I rewrite and I get 100% uniqueness according to copyscape.
That is good enough for me.

Just do the safe thing. Why not after spinning using content professor, revise the article manually? Though this can be tiresome, it will likely increase the uniqueness of the article. If you don't have time for this, you can outsource.

It takes the same amount of time just to write a completely unique article, why not just do that

Obviously unique quality articles will give the best result.
If you are going to spin, I wouldn't consider anything less than 90%, and that reads well.
The time it takes means it's often worth writing unique articles anyway

Well you should submit them to article directories. However, if good PR article directories reject them then submit that to Article Rich they accept everything .

But that seems fine at least that should make sense even though I never spin because when that reaches to people they dont really like to read it. So the purpose that I write articles for would not be served.

I strive to go for at least 50% when spinning articles. However, I NEVER spin articles that I put on my "money site." This leaves a footprint. I only spin and submit PLR articles to article directories and blog networks like Unique Article Wizard. Hope this helps!

I find the best way to turn articles into other articles is this.

Turn your first article into a q&a format, a mistakes people make format and the story format. I've done this and submitted all 4 articles to ezine and all were accepted as being unique. Even though they were based on the same three points.
