How many BMR posts to boost ranking?

Hi,

I just started using BMR to target one of my super low competition keywords. I'm already ranked #6 for this keyword without any backlinking at all and I want to use BMR to get it to the top 3.

However, I already have five 150 word BMR articles pointing towards my article and the ranking hasn't moved at all.

On average, how many BMR posts do you need before you see a shift in rankings?

Thanks

How long have the posts been there? The thing with BMR you need to keep feeding it because the PR of the links drop off when your post moves off the front page of the blog.

Impossible question to answer, but if it was ranking #6 with 5 posts I can't imagine it would take more than 5 a week to boost it. But I'm just pulling that out of thin air, for all I know there's 3 big ole wikipedia pages sitting on top.

Wait, are you saying i'll lose my page rank?

Isn't that falsifying information on BMR's part?

The PR of the BMR post goes away when it's moved off the blogs homepage. It's a very natural thing and it happens with every blog. I've been using the service for about 9 months with great luck, but you have to keep posting.

But with a keyword as easy as it sounds like you have it probably won't be much.

You have to regularly post on BMR to replace the posts as they fall off the homepage of the blog it was on.

I might take a few more than 5. Just be patient. Keep writing a couple every day and you will start to see some movement.

Even though it loses it's PR when it goes to the 2nd page, does it still count as link juice or whatever?

Yes it does. Even when it falls off the first page it will still count as a backlink and send link juice your way.

Google's algorithm is very hard to understand, generally we say higher the pr of your site higher the ranking of your site but it is not so according to my experience.

This is how blog networks operate. Your post shows up on the homepage of a website. Hopefully, the page has PR>1. As more posts are added to the front page, your post is pushed down until eventually it falls off. Once this happens you no longer have a PR>1 backlink, but just a PR0 innerpage backlink. The link still passes juice, but nearly as much as the PR>1.

We have no idea how many backlinks it will take to raise your website. It could be that competition isn't strong until you get past #6. Just keep building BMR backlinks and give it 4-6 weeks.

As such there is no defined number f posts that boost your rankings... It depends on the quality of posts. I don’t rely on BMR (honestly speaking)... I prefer to write my content and getting published it on right channels to get maximum exposure.

You need to see what was indexed by Google. Why would your post on the first page of a BMR site automatically count as a high PR backling to your site if it wasn't even indexed by Google.

Does the juice still flow? Loos like it, so many people say it's working.

I have seen some occasion where Google indexed the article on the first page of a site and also the post page of that article.

The question would be , what will happen when Google re-indexes does site and your post is not on the first page. Will it be a deleted backlink?

The other question I ask myself while sipping this fine wine , should I maybe get a Fivrr Gig to boost my article page ?

As per my view, you should post five posts per week if you are already on page 1 place 6.

BMR Has 2 Page Rank by the way. And they say that they can't interlink between their websites for not having any footprint.
But anyway anybody of you have any better alternative ? (You have tried yourself)
