Undoubtedly, the PR has been faked. They probabaly used a 301 redirect from a PR10 website just before the last PR update and then removed the 301 redirect after the last PR update. This is a common trick that scammers use to fake PR. And these sites don't show as fake using common methods of detection.

The best way to determine if the PR is fake is check the backlink profile (the site only ahs ~40 backlinks) and also use way back machine to see if there was a 301 redirect ever in place (which in this case you can't do because the site is brand new).

No i think the PR is real for the time being its not faked. May be due to an error in Google. I saw a person selling PR 9 website at flippa and he also dont know how he got that PR lol . That site have hundreds of pages of PR8 ...

Yes right...because...if you ask a scammer on flippa they will usually admit right away they are scamming people

May be website is using blackhat seo technique like cloaking to improve its pagerank.
its completely mystery how can a website gain 10 pr in 5 months. that means google and above website having equivalent priority.

Plus i checked this websites inner pages they all are unranked,
Someone should consider making google aware of a website with more authority then them

I guess the only way it could be real (and I sincerely doubt it, that sounds way too much like a domain redirect) is if it got some serious PR9-PR10 backlinks. Even then, seems a little high.

I've always wondered what it takes to get PR10. If Google doesn't even have it, then what type of monstrosity do you need for such a high PR?

One way to probably get a fake PR, but make it look real, would be to make a bunch of domain redirects and then link those to a domain. That way, you would have a bunch of PR9-PR10 links hitting your site, which would undoubtedly make the one domain also have a high PR. That would probably work, but I have never tried anything like that.

so what should a 5 month old site PR be? in this case it's probably a glitch/cloaking/etc..

but everyone jumps right out and say its fake........

i got pr4 in 4 months.. anyone wanna say its fake? what is the norm here? or what kind of PR for a new kind would jump out at you guys and say "FAKE!!!"

Page Rank is a mathematical patented formula and he work by a very simple algorithm.

If 1+1=2

PR9+PR9+PR9=PR10 with only one OBL

I tested this method and it's work.

Most webmasters are reporting to PR in "real time" and this is very very very wrong.

Age is not important, but it is still weird to see a new site with such as high PR. It's like a website that's 10 days old making $100,000 without a list, product or much content.

It's possible, it's even plausible, but incredibly unlikely.

Wow its something that is really hard to believe. A website with PR 10... Google is the one who came up with the concept and still has a PR of 9... Well if the website has achieved a PR of 10 that too without taking help of black hat SEO, it means they have given Google a great challenge...

yeah i dont believe on that PR10 sites, especially if the site is just 5 months old.
i'm also wondering why my domain which i just purchased last Jan. 18 (a month old) and then i just created a landing page website under construction and then for some reason after the latest PR update it went to PR2! which has the same PR to my existing blog site which is running for like 7 months old and has quality contents.

i just find this all very confusing... with the latest PR update. I dont know if there are any glitches in the google system.

PR 10.

It's not that hard to fake PR. You just get real people to
view the site as is. But if some bot or program visits,
they can be slyly redirected to a PR10 site. A real visitor
visiting would never get redirected. A 301 redirect would
be meaningless in this case. That's not how to fake PR.

Sad thing that people actually believe the PR10 of that site.

Redirecting the googlebot will mean the page does not get indexed.
If this site now is indexed, then the PR must have been faked
and sold to some poor sap.

By the way, it probably has some copyright problems too on the site. The very first text string "Money is the symbol of wealth without which one can’t survive in the present scenario either we take it for enterprise or personal purpose." originally comes from this Ezine article, only ONE WORD is altered. If you search for the beginning of the string, Google gives you both, Ezine first and this "PR10" somewhere down below.

It's a scam. First, when you click the link you go to another URL. Then SEOmoz and Majestic busts them with a DA of 32 and an AC of 5. Finally just Google their Title Tag of "Online Business Ideas". We all know if you really want it, it's in the title tag so.... Somebody explain how a PR10 isn't #1 for their targeted term? As a matter of fact, they are nowhere to be found. But don't worry. This domain will be on GoDaddy auctions soon with a PR10 so you can bid on it :-)
