Need your advices -please!

Hey
I have a new website.
I upload it 6 weeks ago and i started with the link building 4-5 weeks ago.
I just check my webmster toll details and i saw that google in dex 250 backlinks to my websites.
Yesterday my website went from page 4 on google for a few keywords to pages 16!!!
I checked everything.
everything on the onsite optimization was great. No duplicates meta tags no duplicate h1 no duplicate content and so on....
But i did find one critical problem/ I have too many broken links on my website (404 error)
I fixed it this morning.
Do you have any idea if can know if my website is beeing punished by google because of to many backlinks per mounth for a new website.
I use this command:
site: in this case my website was on the first page.
I also copy a spesific phrase from my website and google it and also on this case page 1.
Im worry.
There is any way for me to check it and see if the brocken links cause the problem or the massive backlinks?
I dont have any idea if 250 per mounth the first mounth is too many.
And i dont remember that i added that much backlinks.
Maybe its a natural backlinks but i have no control on it.

    No worries. It's just a Google dance. Continue to build quality backlinks and good content. It will finally settle in as long as your backlinks are diverse and content is unique. This is typical for all new websites.

    Your site is really new and the answer you are looking for will not be an exact number. Until your site has a bit of age to it you should see a bounce like that. If you still have this problem in another month or two then you have a problem....

    I know there isnt an accurate number but to get some idea 15 backlinks for a day for a new website---is too much?

    your site is brand new, so google is trying to see if your website is worth it to be near the top. Give it some time and it will even out.

      I know there isnt an accurate number but if you some idea...10, 50 or 100 backlinks?
      i dont want to do mistakes with that backlinks building....

        Even if you build 1,000 backlinks per month as long they are high quality backlinks, it's still okay. I've done this to brand new sites several times and didn't have problem on it.
