Hi, I'm fairly new with SEO - a bit confused with crawling errors atm.

Basically I added a subdomain (to my main domain) that is hosted by an affiliate site. The subdomain was supposed to be a complete seperate section to the site however I found that I didn't need it after a while. When the subdomain was created - a lot of url were created in the process and after delete it (subdomain) I have found a lot of urls containing 404 errors (that were left over from the subdomain) were searchable on Google.

So I went to Webmaster Tools and requested them to be deleted. They are now deleted since I can't find them by searching in Google. However I now have about 51 Not Found pages in Crawl Errors on my Webmaster Tool. (that number was only 18 yesterday).

There are also 4 pages restricted by robots.txt according to my Webmaster Tool.

Can anyone suggest how I may delete these errors and what do they actually mean (since the pages are deleted when searching in Google)?

Many thanks!!!!

You really don't need to worry about it. They will go away on their own and won't affect you negatively.

As long as pages you care about aren't showing up as Not Found - you're fine!
