Hi Guys,

i am looking for an SEO coach or mentor, someone that can teach me Online and Offline SEO. Someone that can show me how to rank websites on the front page of google over time.

I would like to be able to contact companies offering page 1 ranking services for a monthly fee. And i need someone to show me how i can get started learning SEO.

I would appreciate any help or anyone you know of that can offer this.
Thank you,
-Michael

    Hi Michael,

There is a whole wealth of free information available on this forum and across the internet. You don't need to pay a coach or mentor.

Also, there is no such thing as "Offline SEO". You are confusing offline marketing (a general term to describe either traditional marketing methods, or to picking up clients offline to offer them online services), with offpage SEO (essentially backlinks).

Who needs a coach? I'll fill you in right here and now for free.

On-Page SEO (Crucial to Off-Page SEO)

    1) Set your meta keywords, title and description. Make sure it would look good to a web surfer. If you just throw in your keywords in a spammy manner, they won't click on your site when they find it in Google.

    Examples
TV Affiliate Site with Keywords: flat panel tvs, best flat panel tv, hd tvs for sale, best hd tvs, hd tv reviews, (etc, etc.)
    Good
    Title
    -YourBrand (Flat Panel King)
Description-Full Reviews, Ratings and the Best Prices for all major Flat Panel TV's. Compare and Save on an HDTV Today!

    Bad
Title- Flat Panel King! Your #1 Stop For The BEST HD and Flat Panel TV's on the NET!
Description-Flat Panel TV's and the Best Flat Panel TV's! Find your BEST HD TV Reviews here!

    2) Make sure to have good content that is fully readable by the user. Run on sentences and bad punctuation not only bad in the eyes of Google but once people DO find your site, they will back out once they realize it's hard to read.

    Off-Page SEO

    1) Backlinks: These are the backbone of ranking your websites. Find good backlink opportunities by visiting relative forums, blogs and article directories. Also, make sure these links that you build are DO-Follow and not NO-Follow. There's a huge debate out there on whether or not NO-Follow links actually help your websites rank and personally, I think they do but I choose not to build them manually. I always let my site visitors build them for me once I start ranking.

    2) Invest in BMR or a similar network. These backlinks from high-PR blogs do wonders for website rankings. You can go the old fashioned way and just write 400 word articles all day for Ezine and post on forums all day leaving signature links but there's a lot more out there that will help as well.

In a nutshell, build high quality, unique content and pump it out consistently while you're backlinking at the same time. Do that and overtime, once your site starts to rank, you'll begin to get natural backlinks and bookmarks from your visitors which drastically helps lessen your workload.

That was a very short SEO explanation but I hope it at least gets you started in the right direction.

It seems you are a newbie. As it is the case you just no need to have a mentor at this time. You can learn basic SEOs from here reading WF threads and also googling easily. Once you will be loaded with enough information you will be able to find any appropriate coaching yourself easily.
