My site is on WP and is optimized for a keyword. My home page is static. What if I add more posts to my site? Of course my current post will go to another page. Will it effect my SERP?

If your homepage is static then adding a new post would not push it to another page. This will happen on whatever page you set as the "posts" page. Also adding relevant content to your site does help, as well as post frequency.

You mean adding more posts will help my ranking?

In my experience this is a definite yes. It will give google a better picture as to what your site is about and help you gain "authority" for your keyword or niche, as well as help your site become more relevant to your keyword. What I do is to make sure that i use the main site keyword at least once in every single post that I write. Be careful not to overdo it though, i usually find once is enough. Here is another such example of a member using content to his sites advantage:

I just added a new post and its appearing on my home page and before my previous post which has keywords. How to keep new posts on different pages?

Whatever article you are trying to rank for you will need to post it as a PAGE, and not a regular blog post. Now create another page that you would like to display your actual blog posts. I generally name this something like Resources or Articles. Whatever works for you.

Now go under settings to the reading page and select "Static Page" instead of "Latest Posts". Make your keyword page the static one and your articles page for blog posts. Hit save and you are done.

I've made it static and it appears as homepage. Is it possible to add and show blog posts on different page. I mean when I'm adding new posts, they are showing just below my original one.
